tenthenemy: (red Leicester with tomato and Branston pickle and Saint Agur on sourdough bread) That sounds remarkably like the Bedfordshire clanger theory - two courses with one container, but I would have thought that the St Agur and pickle cudgelled the delicate Red Leicester into obscurity... unless they were clanger style at different ends of a baguette? *Not this type of clanger... they're into soup I should have made myself clearer in that they were separate sandwiches... |

At the end of the meal I realised that I'm now able to tell the twins apart! It's tricky, but one has a slightly rounder face and the other one slightly wispier hair. This is progress. It is a constant battle. |

Morning, and a happy birthday to Monsuir LeTids.
Yesterday was dog chemo day so lots of traipsing off to Newmarket, and paying royally for a bag of drugs I can't touch. 12 hours of being zonked out, but was back to her normal gut-bucket self this morning.
Not many Ganes… started off into the world of DQB2. As per the recent discussions I made sure to 'Invert Y' during setup, only to find everything had a slight up/down reversal. Bottoms. Have reached the island of the farmers. Feel as if the training wheels are still very much on at the moment.

I have just spoken to my mother re: the card. She said 'I posted it yesterday at 7pm, it should have got there by now'. Had a bit of a chat and then casually she states, 'I've got cancer, don't worry to much, it's only skin cancer, on my nose. I've already had one op.'
I now feel like an utter shit.

My mate once texted me on my birthday to say his wife (also a very good friend) had cancer. Now I've written that down, complaining about it makes me look like a self-centered arsehole. And, to be fair to him, I would have no expectation of him remembering when my birthday is.
The cancer is long gone, thankfully. Mumble mumble something about hope. Except for their marriage, which is also gone.
I'm still friends with them both.
