If train driving were like Scalextric, the news would be full of stories of trains constanty leaping off the tracks and ploughing into giant dining room table legs.

What exactly was your affair with Gavin Williamson? I'm not convinced it shows either of you in a good light.

I bet it's really easy to drive a train, it's basically scalextrics isn't it? You slow down or stop when needed and press go occasionally. I also bet they spend most of the journey lazily browsing their smart phones whilst glancing up every now and then to check the signals. You could probably get a Polish guy to do it for £18k a year without problems. Ive heard it more like model railway operation than scalextric. I wonder how traumatised Melvazord would be if he hit a carefully painted commuter.

The 0719 Virgin Train to Stevenage will be delayed as the primer used on the Guard hasn't dried. This service will be underway when the replacement Space Ork staff member has been located.

Bunch of flash gitz in 1st class causing a ruckus. first class is the business. It’s the only bloody way to get a seat. The past 3 journeys I’ve done were all first class and they were all sufficiently delayed to get me my money back. Bargain.

Apart from a guaranteed comfy seat what's the appeal? Do you get free re-fills of wine or something?

Slightly comfier seats, free tea and biscuits, some food. The main thing is that you do actually get a seat, rather than being stuck standing in the corridor by the bog for 200 miles.

Weigh that against the risk that, should The Revolution begin during your journey, you and your fellow plutocrats in First Class will be first against the station wall.

I had a book as a kid where the main protagonist kept going back to WW2. He was in tanks and planes and stuff but it was models he'd made he was in. So the rear gunner in the bomber had no legs and the bomb bays wouldn't open as he had used too much glue.

to test if the train track is scalextric or not lick your finger and touch the rails. If you die instantly it's the real thing.

Killed it. Chicken sandwich Salmon and spinach quiche. DS chat: It's worth getting a 3DS/2DS to have that library plus the backwards compatibility with DS games. I had an original 3DS (before the introduction of the XL) and it was beautiful but too angular to be comfortable. I replaced it with a 🎉New🎉 3DS ("ambassador" model, regular size) and would not like to go back to the less powerful, less comfortable to hold older models. I really like the 3D effect, but if you don't care about that the 2DS is pretty good. The battery of my 🎉New🎉 3DS needs replacing, but I haven't used it for quite a while since I now have the Switch for portable gaming. The real question is when Nintendo will finally pull the plug on the system so that the price will drop. But the problem is, I suppose, that the 3DS/2DS still sells too well to do that, and, since it's considerably cheaper than the Switch there are no plans for the Switch to replace it.

Can anyone recommend a good USB microswitched joystick for emulation?
Amazon have thousands of links for copies of NES/SNES/N64/GameCube pads, and even more links for "gaming specs" - apparently they're a thing now.

I'd recommend emulating a kempston joystick. They were the best.
