Serious question, how are people doing during the "Bad Times"?
I'm fine because:
1. I'm used to being at home and indoors due to retirement and geekery*. 2. When I went to the pub I watched YouTube and didn't talk to anyone until I've had a few beers. 3. The Pref.Mam is used to WAH and now avoids lengthy travel. 4. Though not wealthy we're okay for money and; 5. We don't have any dependants** which I suspect is the biggest problem for most people?
Strangely my life has got better since the lock-down, more exercise more time with the Pref.Mam, I know I'm very lucky.
*and maybe because I'm an only child. **i.e. Kids, vulnerable family or friends etc. etc.

My Morrison delivery in 30 minutes ... only slot available. If any of you have been planting out summer plants, either bring them in or use, straw, bubble wrap to protect them. Tonight, at least in Bucks, -1 oC... Felice Landry : very much worse off, my left leg is breaking down; the operation that would alleviate that was postponed indefinitely from 26th March; the 8th April dilatation op to remedy the increasingly narrow constrictions in my throat same, same. I only see masked, gowned and muffled nurses twice a week, And they aren't social calls. I'm not going into the gruesome details of the repercussions; none of you deserve that.

So, anyone know what we're allowed / not allowed to do under Boris' regime of clownery? Oh, last night was so clear they're doing a clarification session today I see. Muppets. Ganes: Got Icewind Dale saves and characters imported, then noticed Destry's reply this morning. Quake II was problematic in that to get it running I had to install a mod from the Steam community, which means it runs like a dream and has all the original music back, but none of my save games will work. Oh well, back to the beginning. Intalling Baldur's Gate II tonight for more fun. OTTM: nothing. Almost beyond caring about work now.

Hello everyone!
Everything is going to be okay! Yes, that's right, we'll all be able to go to work or not! And can see people but can't! This is great news, really not sending mixed messages at all.
I had my partner saying quite-earnestly that we should move to Greece. This, coming from the woman who hates hot weather.
Gamesblog: like you care... Breathless! A couple of levels from the second stage, one of which included a MASSIVE lift.
TVblog: Parks & Rec.
YouTubeblog: Joel McHale and Ken Jeong hosted a Community script read with 99% of the original cast of, yep, Community. I watched the after-chat, which is just good fun.

Sorry to hear that Chumbles, let's hope the NHS hits the ground running when the virus clears.
Felice - I am saving loads of money due to not going out and there is a danger I may actually get to finish the garden this year, but this isn't living. I need my weekly curry and my nights at the pub.
TV - did I mention This is the End is great! It's like a cross between Superbad and Cloverfield.

Chumbles
The NHS is starting to open up again in some areas. Some elective operations are being performed. There is some hope you can have the op, but I suspect that you are difficult for them to deal with as you are so high risk.
Stay strong. Or at least don't let the muscle wasting illnesses get any worse.

I’m absolutely fine, provided you are comfortable with a fairly broad definition of fine.
Prudently, I panic-bought extra paperbacks when all this was on the horizon. One of these was “Folk” by Zoe Gilbert and is very odd indeed. It does have a map, though.
I’m planning on a gloomy Russian excursion next, by way of light relief.

I've been panic buying books for 40 years.
The piles of unread books are particularly magnificent at the moment. Thought I'd do more reading in lockdown, but I've not found it that easy to settle on a book or anything.
I have started The Crusaders by Dan Jones. It's pretty good so far. I mean if you are obsessed by history books and people with pointy sticks.

Morning,Thanks for asking Felice, The start of lockdown was a bit stressful due to business related anxiety, the middle bit has been quite enjoyable, so nice to get a break from the work grind, I am 40 and have not had a break like this from full time work since I was 16, it really is much nicer having more time with the kids etc. The end of lockdown will in all liklihood be horrific, my business is heavily reliant on tourism so I expect at least a few years of pain and stress.
Games: I am Gold level in rocket league and have stayed that way for a whole week without being demoted yet!
TV: Ozark 3, one episode left to watch. Feel like this season was a bit unnecessary and they should have wrapped it up after 2.
My walk to work was very quiet on the streets,
Ignore Boris, listen to Nicola, save lives

Hello, This morning I have been staying alert, as it has been safe to do so.
The lockdown so far has been a mixed bag. Working 60 hour weeks as well as pretty much full time childcare has been knackering. One child really struggling with being off school, while the other one is absolutely loving it. Pref mam is a nurse, although not ICU, so there's all the stress etc that comes with that.
On the other hand I'm not spending 1hr20 commuting every day, and have saved loads of money.

Hello! Ganes, no; telly, Bosch in the background. Top, top opening credits. Ottm: tonight I am joining a zoom party to watch the entirety of the European Cup Winners Cup Final which took place on this day in 1983. Glory days... OOttm: Felice Landry can't complain really. Not had a pay cut, been able to work remotely, don't have any existential worries beyond the usual human dilemmas. On the other hand, although my employer is reasonably benevolent, it faces quite a lot of financial uncertainty due to c19, which is turn is making quite a lot of people act like irrational ****s, which in turn is doing my head in. Mustn't grumble though. sandybahookieIs yours a commercial operation? Anything that the community might be interesting in placing orders with?
