Fortnite Duos win? Don't mind if I do.
I was unlucky in one game. I killed the 3rd last person. I had the second last down to 32 health. One hit from death.
In the next game I basically did nothing. Wandered round a quiet area. Got 1 kill. Shenguin was a busy cunt and got 7. In the endgame he got shot. I briefly considered attempting a rescue, but decided as I was designated survivor hiding made more sense. Someone shot at me, but I bravely ran away. Ended up in a bush. Suddenly noticed there was only one other player. I was deciding how to manage to mess up when the victory screen appeared. I have no idea what happened. Except that I won. Not Shenguin, me. I won.
Four stars recommended.

Morning.
Dishwasher still hasn’t exploded, so counting that as a win.
Games - Wolfenstein Youngblood. It’s not quite as good as 2, but that got taken off game pass so I have to make do.
Tv - started A.P. Bio - basically Dennis from It’s Always Sunny being a teacher. It was alright, think it’s got a day left on Now TV.
I’m the best at timings.

I have my concerns..

Morning.
Games: A bit of plum stamper 6 TV: Judge John Deed. OTTDM: 'Old boy' is really getting on my nerves. He's a twat when he's been at the sherry.
Still, it's another beautiful day in Tidsville.

Morning all! Gamesblog: just... no. None of that. TVblog: Parks & Rec and a single episode of Community (pottery). YouTubeblog: RLM's Mr Plinkett Picard review has landed, and it does not disappoint.

NP2: I am arising from the dead in that so-called 8 day game that's now close to day 37; my revival is due to 2 guys in the game deferring their victory so I can get 3rd place - they include SonofBlob who's an NP2 friend. Take note, Felice Landry , it's important to be nice to folks when you can: Still waiting for my 8 am service

Hi
Phew, it's a scorcher!
Gaymes, RDR2, side missions/stranger encounters. Including one where I fought a big giant circus freak in a bar after he'd had too much sherry, then chased after his fellow circus act in the woods, magnifico I think he was called.
OTTM, might have to break out the emergency sun cream today.

There was an update for Warzone so I played two matches of PUBG instead where I ran around for ages and killed no one in either game. They are bringing bots to PUBG soon, presumably I cannot provide this service enough to meet demand.
Nice and sunny out.
Telly: Some Hobbit 1. The film looks much nicer than any of the HD LOTD films, I guess that was the point they brought in HDR and other improvements.

Meetings inside while some neighbour mows the lawn. Is this the future? Games, little pottering about in Skyrim. Nothing really grabs me at the moment, is cyberpunk still coming later this year?

The Hobbit was filmed at 5k and at 48FPS and using 3D . (LOTR was filed at 2K I think) There is no HDR as there is no 4K release at the moment. There is supposed to be a 4K release of all the films this year. This means improving the LOTR footage. It was scheduled for June, but I don't think it will happen then. I am hopeful they will release a set that contains the theatrical and extended editions. I do not really want to buy both separately.

In the meanwhile I recommend Andy Serkis reading The Hobbit as linked to by Chumbles.
It's not as professional as the audiobook as he read the whole thing live with no dubs or retakes. There are quite a few hesitations and errors and a lot of pauses for drinks, but it is still pretty good.
Four stars

Sweet, I guess they just want you to have a decent gaming machine to keep you happy while you're off. The 14" 1366x768 screen and 4GB ram are really spoiling me! Hello. TV. No. Games. GTA stunt races. OTTM. Tinkering with the steam controller to use in GTA and possibly Forza. The clicking of the left pad was driving MrsC bonkers. Really noisy. The left joystick is sweet though. Beautiful gentle turning in races.

The people who service my airbed are this lot: Really? So far; I have a Tamora air mattress and compressor*. It's excellent, but a new product and I have one of the first in service - last week the LEDs were blinking SI. Neither the manual nor the quick ref guide explain this, but I assume Service Interval.... I call the NRS operator; she can't find out, but she tells me she's booked a service for the mattress on last Wednesday. I say it's the compressor that's displaying the code. Never mind, the Engineer (Fred) will sort it, be with you Wednesday at 8... Last Wednesday no-one came. I rang, no-one knew why; rebooked for today - she tells me she's booked a service for the mattress today - I say it's the COMPRESSOR that's displaying the code. Never mind, she says, the Engineer (Fred) will sort it, be with you Wednesday at 8... Fred has just gone - poor bastard dressed in a combo of home-made and official gear so he looks like the Michelin man wearing a hazmat suit; he tells me he won't throw away his disposable gloves in my bin; he'll get into his van, sanitize them, put them in a box and will incinerate the box. I forbear from pointing out the fallacies in this - but he's going to be roasting this afternoon ... Anyway, Fred tells me he's on emergencies today; I say it's the compressor that's displaying the code "SI", he's deeply unimpressed. "I haven't seen that before, but the reason the operators can only book a mattress call-out is that the manufacturer has to service it." "So you're going to get one from the van?" "No, we don't carry these unless we know we need to; I'll book you in for a replacement on the service run." "So that's a third morning I have to be up ready for 8 a.m." "Sorry, but that's what we're being told to say." I confess I burst out laughing ... *The Tamora's predecessor, the Nimbus 3 mattresses failed every 8-9 months which was literally a pain, as I can't sit, stand or lie down on anything normal for 20 minutes or so, so I had to shuffle around with my sticks and I'm not supposed to be on my feet for more than 4 hrs in 24... And it would fail in the early hours of the morning. At which time there was only 1 guy on callout for the SE of England. One of those was 6 hrs delay👀. Fred was in Margate just starting a job ...

The director my team reports into just emailed the team a link to a BBC article explaining why some people struggle to work efficiently from home. No wording or indeed any justification for sending to us provided.
Strong power move.

So is the new contact tracing numbers from the same set of sums saying however many tests a day we have only met a few times? Or will it be via the app which doesn't work? I'm not sure if want a second hand badly abused liver from one of us going to some poor kid.
