You're all listening to sea-shanties, aren't you? I am! A friend of mine is in a number of folk choirs, and one of her groups just does sea shanties. Has gigs in pubs around the old docks in Southwark and Bermondsey, I’ve been to a dozen or so sing alongs. There’s something about those songs, especially the ones that are recognisable as of Irish origin that really move me.

You're all listening to sea-shanties, aren't you? Nope, but I did post an homage in the Jukebox. It was that or Quint's song in Jaws, or possibly Ass Crack Black Flag shanties.

Finally made it to Sheep’s wank bank.

Today has already been an exceptionally good day. Not only is the weather nice, but earlier in the day I got a video of my granddaughter holding up her freshly delivered Animal Crossing Switch. It is hard to tell who's happier, the child or her grandparents. Supernan has finally beaten her kryptonite Hermes. Then I had delivery of a huge, and mean HUGE,parcel containing my collector's edition of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition with added doodah. Doodah consists of: an enormous and beautiful art book, a nice poster that I'm not sure I've got space for, a steel book and a vinyl record with the soundtrack (need to check whether my record player is plugged in, but there's also a download code for the music in case it isn't). Plus a little keychain Monado for extra nerdiness Consumerism is not the answer to unhappiness but it helps.

I worked until gone 2am last night, and then was up working from 7.30 this morning. I am at work at the moment. I think I must be some sort of frontline shift worker, definitely a key-worker, probably an heroic doctor saving lives, or something like that. Oh, wait a minute, no, I'm a fucking bureaucrat with an interest in spreadsheets. This is not ok. I am not ok. It's too hot.
I hope the rest of you are having a really shit day.* I suppose I could find out by reading all that shit, but then I'd have to think about Dom being in Sheep's "bank" or whatever sick filth you've all decided to write today, so I'm not going anywhere near it.
*not you. You're ok. I hope you're having a good day. Yes, you.

I took the afternoon off and went for a bike ride. I’m now drinking cider and having a quick blast on COD. Haven’t heard a sea shanty all day. Four stars.

A week ago was told we would like to have taken 10 days holiday by June, oh well. Managed 7 days and that's with not working this week. Cider and sea shanties it is, looked on uplay and found I had most assassin's creed games added but never played. Helter skelter as light reading this afternoon.

Morning
I have just been on a works call while drinking vodka and lemonade from a coffee mug. To liven things further I've set up my webcam upside down so it looks as if i'm hanging from the ceiling, bat-like. I have also booked next week as leave as i'm fed up listening to Mrs gong complaining she's bored getting paid for doing nothing for 2 months, so it's only fair that I join her. I might even find time for gaming! Ye gods... the thought!
Games - nope dogBlog - still on 3 legs... starting to dot the injured one down now and again. Gonna be a while before she's able to put weight on it.

I downloaded that COD WW2, then spent 45 mins on the campaign mode trying to get off the beach but failing and getting killed. A lot. Then I turned it off.

Futility of war etc etc. Didn't you hide behind stuff and jump in holes? You then get to kill folks in bunkers. I'm not any further than that.
Bolognese for dinner as I planned food a week ago and didn't check the weather.
I eat spag bol no matter how hot it is Betty.

Quint sings "Spanish Ladies" which is my favourite of all shanties. Possibly on par with "Heart of Oak". Or "Don't Forget Your Old Shipmate".

Well, after about the 15th time of Jerry had used me as shooting practice I did. Got me a bit closer. Thinking of trying some shooting back up at their bunkers next time. Hopefully they don't like it up em. Or I'll just drop it down to New recruit difficulty.

I dug up two Bay trees and wheel barrowed a couple of tonnes of rubble. What did you lazy sods do? Exactly.
Borderlands 2 free on EGS.

I bet Amipal loves singing about how he likes to blow the men down.
I might have to get back on Black Flag later. Bit jarring going back to old style AC from Odyssey though.
