I've had a rather interesting night comprised of abdominal pain, and lots of tossin'n'turnin'. It has not been fun. NHS 111 even got a call. I "awake" this morning with much diminished belly discomfort, and wondering just what has gone on.. Overeating causes those symptoms. 999 might be the number your PM requires... Actually that sounds remarkably like colitis or IBS, if 'belly' was a euphemism for intestinal cramping. It did start after a big meal. The symptoms eased by drinking (non-alcoholic). I'm left this morning with a pain on one side, so am now awaiting a call back from the out of hours doctor.

tenthenemy We should open the virtual Chatterbox Surgery; ghod knows between us we've lived long enough to have most things. Except what some might argue I should've had a long time ago... I think we'll leave that off our prospectus - for a start, we'd need a map and a compass for half the folk* in here... *not you, no, not you 😉

Youtube influencers yacking about how hard lockdown has been from their massive very expensive looking London flat, but that they still start work at 8:30am every day, make artisan coffee at home and change into proper clothes to work, because otherwise they are too relaxed, with bad royalty free music on in the background. Kill me. I think PM hates them too but she always puts them on for hours for some reason.

We've been on a zoom call with the PM's family - including parents. We're now about to head up to her parents garden for a bit as well. Marvellous.
TV. Killing Eve S2 Games. GTAV story mode and buying neeps in ACNH.

Just to clarify, I thought England's teams at 86, 90,96, & 98 were all better than the 2002 team, but in that tournament most other teams were pretty average.
Phew, glad that's been cleared up, you can all relax now.

Hmmm... if it's low enough it might be appendicitis ... here's a link to some info; if you decide to feel if pressure causes pain, ffs do it gently...

Is the pain on your right side? I speak from gallbladder stone experience and it's not fun. It is... OOH GP doesn't seem to think it is, though. I'm on the "see how I go through the day" list. If it is the gallbladder it's going to let you know because it's going to happen again sooner or later. It's going to react mainly to fatty foods - I first noticed it with buttered toast for breakfast and I once set it off with an avocado when I should have known better (my consultant actually facepalmed). My symptoms coincided with a trip to South Africa and I had a particularly bad episode when we had driven all day without stopping for lunch. We checked into a hotel in Pretoria and went to their restaurant where I ordered some kind of peppered beef dish. South African cuisine can only be described as both "robust" and "generous" when it comes to spices and seasoning. It was like licking a pepper grinder, and although I didn't eat much it sent me into a world of pain for several days (I will never forget the relief that I felt when it eventually and very suddenly stopped). At one point I went to a nearby hospital where they weren't sure either but mentioned gallstones as a possible cause. Since we were about to return home I postponed further investigation, but I got definitive diagnosis before that when I had what they describe in the medical profession tactfully as "pale stool". Even I knew enough medicine to recognise this as the symptom of jaundice caused by gallstones obstructing the bile duct. (Fortunately they dislodged themselves soon after.) I drew the short straw when the ERCP to remove the stones stuck in the bile duct gave me acute pancreatitis, but cutting out the offending organ itself was no problem and I've been enjoying my buttered avocado toast ever since.

Pulled pork, saute potatoes, carrots and green beans for lunch. Left with a weeks worth of calories of ridiculously good crackling, my arteries are hardening just looking at it. 4*(stars) <edit>For those interested we used Simon Rimmer's recipe N.B. Forget the 200ml of white wine vinegar, 50ml at the most, otherwise really good. We also got 2 more meals out of the 2Kg* pork shoulder, one being Piggy Pie**. *Weight with bone in. **Thanks Tent Hen.
