I watched Hamilton last night on Disney plus. I liked it! Who would ever have guessed that constitutional history could be so catchy?
Got a couple of cool new masks yesterday. Will definitely wear them if I ever leave the house again.

So far I have successfully managed to avoid watching both Hamilton, and Frozen 2. #winning
Mask chat: I have one with retro Marvel Comic strips on it. It looks even worse than it sounds.

I have a face mask and I've used it. OK, mostly to scare the cat which I don't like. Actually, I do always take it with me and deploy as necessary.
That legendary ship last night was a close run thing. There was a sweaty palm moment when I ran out of mortars. The damn ship then tried to ram me at the Nth hour. I jinked to starboard and his overspeed left both of us alongside each other. A frank exchange of views followed, my heavy cannons vs his 40 or so guns. We both survived this on minimal health, however, his overspeed carried him forward of my position. So I shot him in the arse with some chain shot.
I may retire now.

I have a plain black mask. Trying to explain to PM why I wanted the one that made me look like Sub-Zero was a step too far.

If it was mandatory it would be great to be wearing masks, the issue I have is that the people who have them on think that all other things don't have to be followed anymore. Hand washing and distancing work to prevent you catching things, masks limit community transmission, tracing works by stopping known spread. It seems we have given up on a bit of everything when a week or two longer would have stopped it all. But then it doesn't help that if the government don't follow the rules everyone else seems to stop. Distancing and handwashing are still on at work along with extended quarantine and the 2m not becoming one plus, science seems to have gone out the window along with any care about school children from September.

I don't have a mask; I see only medical staff* and the lass who delivers my shopping ... since 2013 I've only left the house in an ambulance ... *Who do things to me; painful things ... But my time will come.

A friend of mine stitches some face masks for me and my lot, and we even got to choose the print on the fabric.
I'm not entirely sure why I chose a "happy whale" print, but at least it works.

I haven't been in site in 3 months, but social distancing at work is still a thing. It's a site rule now, from our safety management team, that if someone comes within 2m of you it must be reported as a "near miss" accident.
My office has 3 guys in it. If the middle desk is occupied, then that's a near miss. If the guy on the inner most desk wants to leave the office, that's a near miss. All the offices are like this.
The corridor is less than 2m wide. If you walk past an open office door then that's a near miss.
If people actually report these then they'll get about 100 a day from our department alone. Ridiculous.
Also, a member of one of the other teams made some alcohol scrub for the department to use. He was supposed to dilute it so that it was a 70% solution. He did not do this, so people have been washing their hands with 100% alcohol. Apparently he didn't know the difference between "dilute" and "decant". This is a man with a masters in chemistry from Imperial College. He has handed in his notice. No one is sad.

And my pharmacist phoned. (He is as good as my special measures surgery is abysmal) He has sourced a BP monitor and Infra Red thermometer for me from a local firm. After some discussion he's going to collect them from the firm and deliver them to me. I've taped the cash to the wall in my airlock*, so he can grab that and deposit the goods on the floor.
I did chuckle to myself when he asked if I have c19; I told him it was very unlikely... all the nurses were tested last week and were negative, except one (who now has the antibodies).
*The porch has an inner and outer door - very handy for these times.

Morning!
Face mask chat! I love face masks! Makes me look like the woman of mystery I am, particularly the polka dot one! Oh, wait...
An extra fashion accessory, what's not to love? Apart from the polka dots I have two with pink flamingos on a white and green background. I haven't had any opportunity to wear them because I haven't left the house since all of this started due to my own dodgy immune system and the Pref. Mam.'s COPD. My first day out will be at the end of the month when I'm due for a blood test at my GP surgery.
In my opinion the government's message on face masks and social distancing is now so muddled that they might as well not bother. Pref. Mam. likes watching Midsomer Murders, so we have to sit through ads when streaming from the ITV website. This has been quite educational, particularly as far as the GOV.UK ads are concerned: first the clear 'stay at home' lockdown message, followed by the confusing 'stay alert' slogan, followed by a recent one on track and trace which seems to have been dropped completely now. The latest one is just a waste of taxpayers' money. No message beyond "hey, pubs and barbers are open". Very few people wearing face masks in the ad, no emphasis on social distancing. It's come to something when a McDonald's ad is more responsible and informative than one sponsored by the government.

I went into town for the first time on Friday. Train to Victoria, I’d say 90% of people on the platform were wearing masks and once on the train it was everyone.
Walked across Green Park to Regent St and London felt like it was a bank holiday - there were still a large number of people, and I felt quite anxious - the Apple store had mandatory mask wearing, but none of the others did.
Felt good to be out.
I watched Hamilton - I’ve been listening to the soundtrack since it was launched, and have had to hand back two sets of tickets to the show - wifey booked other things and wasn’t interested in the show.
She got up at the interval on Friday and declared she’d seen enough. I didn’t stop crying until the credits finished.
It’s my ease to tears why I wear my face mask over my eyes.

[chucks remote at wall] Nah, it's about Hamilton Accies' incredible playoff promotion season in 2013-14. There was a huge bidding war for the rights after news spread about their 10-2 victory over Morton.

Hi
I didn't go to the pub but I do have a hangover. My bacon sandwich remedy did not help so now I'm trying plan B, crisps and self loathing. No stars.

Even so, to be on the safe side, I have instructed my lawyer to deny everything and provide me with an alibi.
