Monring all, rich, detailed printer ink chat there, top banana. I do think people with printers at home are a relic from a past age. Unless you use it to print passive aggressive notices for your neighbours.

The HP printer we bought a couple of months ago has the subscription thing. So they send you ink. Managed to blag 5 months free printing instead of the usual 2 months trial so paid for itself.
Will see how viable it is once school goes back - but not needing to pay till Oct.

My wife is a (retired) teacher and used it to print out worksheets etc.
My daughters use it to print out return labels for the crap they buy online.
I used to use it to print out studies for my art class, until it moved online and I didn't follow.

Thank you tenthenemy for more swag. Up at the Inlaws. The child has been mesmorised by her cousin playing the Sims and giving her a shot. She's only seen the Sims on the EllieV YouTube channel she watches. Heading home after dinner for beer/games and two days of work.

Printer chat: we still use Mrs Zords printer she bought during her first year at Uni, which was about 17 years ago at this point. Saving the planet innit. Doubt you can get cartridges for it anymore, but it's been used more in the last 3 months than the previous 3 years so its getting a bit faded print wise. It's only stuff for work, so fuck em. Printer chat: this is the modern version of the one I bought in '16; brilliant and a bloody sight better than any other brand I've owned. Brother DCP-J1100DW - it sits in my utility room and just works! I've had dozens of printers and for ordinary printing they're best, but photo printing is a different animal... paging amipal

The Co-op have some nerve: playing Len's* "Steal My Sunshine" while it's raining it's arse off outside.
Hello all.
*yes, I initially got this wrong. Such was my surprise and rage.

Why would you print a photo when you can just look at it on your phone.
You don’t print out your contact list and keep it in a ring binder.

I imagine it's not as bad as playing Africa or Holiday during the height of lockdown. Although there were a couple of new songs with lonely in the title on the last few months.

I know that this is a trap... Why would you print a photo when you can just look at it on your phone. You don’t print out your contact list and keep it in a ring binder. I have two printers. An A4 one with a built-in scanner for documents and the like, and an A3+ printer for photos. And believe me, photos look better printed than displayed on a phone or computer screen. It's one of the realisations that I'm glad camera club taught me.

crankcaller : Your welcome. Getting rid of a pile of stuff™ that used to lie around on the ground near the airport so that visitors could help themselves by taking it to Crank's island had unintended consequences. I hadn't really paid all that much attention to my island rating because I still haven't had time to turn my grand vision for the island of Tikunani into reality, so imagine my surprise when last night I came across this little flower (this photo was taken the very moment and you can see the surprise on my face!) Yes, this is a lily of the valley, which can only mean one thing: And, just like that, boom, Golden Watering Can! Gold roses, here I come! (still no cicada shell, though)

If Greta has her way, we will have to chuck our printers in the bin and hire teams of scribes to sit in our attics and copy stuff out on the skins of dead sheep. This is why she is backed by Big Benedictinism.
