Favourite way ro have eggs: 1. Cheese Omelette 2. Plain Omelette 3. Poached 4. Scrambled 5. Poached Eggs with Béarnaise Sauce I detest hard-boiled eggs; fucking awful things... on a par with that other heresy 'well done' steak; cooking the flavour out of food should be punishable by having your clothes soaked in cabbage water and your shoes filled with rotting shellfish* *Mind you crankcaller it would guarantee you a lot of space on a train. I'm a big fan of the cheese omelette, made with two eggs and served with a side of chopped tomatoes (with salt added) and a glass of grapefruit juice. |

Well done steak is an abomination. When I worked in a kitchen the chefs used to get proper pissed off whenever someone ordered it. I once asked for a medium steak in a pub (I think it might have a Spoons, so expectations weren't high begin with). When it arrived the chef had placed it on the plate in such a way that the side he had turned to charcoal was facing down. Like most people I absolutely hate making a fuss and sending food back to the kitchen - I think it's the only time I've ever done this - but I called the waiter, showed him the sad, incinerated piece of cow and mumbled something about it being slightly overdone. The replacement steak wasn't cooked medium, either, but at least it was edible. #notallchefs |

Hello, Gamez: Fifa Tv: finished S2 of the Last Kingdom. I think I'll probably just leave it there. It's ok. Nothing special. Ottm: I'm off work next week, but have a lot of stuff to sort out before I finish tomorrow. I also have even less motivation than usual. No games. Apart from fifa. Ive watched all the last kingdoms, cant say I regret it but there is a bit of a similar formula to every series.
I did learn that back in the olden times the Welsh were once a proud warrior folk.
uhtred was a pretty likable character, Ethelwald was pretty unlikable. The Danes definetly had the most fun.

Hello all. It's been a week since surgery. I'm still uncomfortable, but getting better each day. I'm supposed to stop the pain killers now... which at least means I can go back to the booze. TVblog: Justified. Gamesblog: Skyrim. YouTubeblog: more EV vids. There's a car in China that can do a full battery swap in 3 minutes. Impressive. |

uhtred was a pretty likable character, Ethelwald was pretty unlikable. The Danes definetly had the most fun. Uhtred gets right on my nerves. I've lost count of how many characters have been killed as a result of him acting like a bellend. His whole "I am Uhtred, son of Uhtred.... or sometimes son of Ragnar" schtik gets a bit much too. Can't make his mind up if he's a saxon or a Dane, or if he's from battenberg or wherever. The Danes are the best. |

Neither of whom was my wife.
Like some kind of bohemian!
I'm training the two newest members of our team, who happen to be of the female persuasion, which is a breath of fresh air (figuratively and literally) because our team is an absolute sausage fest. And as non football type and general sensitive soul its nice to not have to go on about bloody sports and talking about the size of our balls all day.

Championship fixture list is out tomorrow. That's football, so has bigger balls than the snooker final I watched a bit of last weekend. Though not as many balls as snooker.

Today my box of retsina finally arrived. It should have been here yesterday, but I messed it up when I was tinkering with the "safe place" option and accidentally postponed the delivery to next day an hour before it was due. I couldn't change it back and was hoping that maybe, just maybe, it would get delivered anyway, so I was delighted when I got a message that mine would be the next stop for the DHL van.
I was waiting at the door when the van arrived and the delivery man got out and organised stuff in the back of the van. Rain was pouring down as he carried a huge parcel to my door. Only it wasn't the retsina, it was a different wine parcel that my dealer aka my "personal wine assistant" had flogged me over the phone the other day. So the box of retsina must have been in the van, but I really didn't want to raise the subject with the already very wet DHL bloke. Two wine parcels in one day does seem a bit excessive.
When the same bloke delivered the parcel today it wasn't raining and there was still plenty of time to chill a bottle for tonight. Εβίβα.
