TuffersYour concerns are shared by many I'm sure. Luckily having no children (or grandchildren) of school age I don't face the dilemma of school or no school v mask or no mask. Hope all goes well with your girls. I'm sure they are looking forward to being back at school.

Why did have to put the bins out in this weather?
Don't answer this.*
Goodnight.
*I know the answer is "because it's bin night" and "there's currently a low pressure system over the British Isles". Not because I touch myself at night.

Tuffers Your concerns are shared by many I'm sure. Luckily having no children (or grandchildren) of school age I don't face the dilemma of school or no school v mask or no mask. Hope all goes well with your girls. I'm sure they are looking forward to being back at school. The difficulties that parents (and grandparents - hi tenthenemy ) face on the resumption of schooling is that young kids are bug magnets. And they will bring home not only schoolwork, but the germ population of the schools they attend. For your offspring, besides vital acculturation and social skills development the exposure to the bug cocktail also helps them build immunity to less exotic infection than Rona. This means that you are about to greatly extend and make porous your bubbles ... For at least a while you may need to consider the potential risk to vulnerable old bastards in your bubble like me... and to consider de-bubbling them. It may be traumatic, but for the grandchildren it would be infinitely more horrifying to know you've inadvertently killed someone you deeply love at such a young age. For once I really feel for you. I may have to face a litany of woes without the succour and comfort of family but at least I can face my grim struggle without the collateral damage it would do to close family. The only advice I can give is control and provide for what you can, but make time to have fun and limit your exposure to the news, which currently focuses on negativity. You cannot look after those you love if you don't look after yourselves ...
