Old Boy reports hearing a loud bang last night from the vicinity of my property. I told him I didn't hear a thing, ergo, I was unconscious before I hit the floor.

I am thing of instigating a rule of (Sheep) two:
If there are two of us in the room you should fuck off.
Maybe introduce some anti-Covid measures as well.
There is a master and an apprentice but the apprentice has been furloughed.

I'd say something about this blatant power grab, but it turns out that Sheep2 and I shouldn't mix. Do your own cocktails.

I am totally fucking shattered - I haven't even get time / energy as I finished a slow speed game of Neptune's Pride and the insanity of a quad speed - a move every 15 minutes; no pause button. You snooze, you lose. Literally. So I have slept no more than 2h a night since Monday and both games were tough fights each involving 15 other players. I may do a narrative for one or both of them over the weekend. I won both...

hello I'm having a quiet day. I typed a story of light lunch disgruntlement but it was ... a waste of everyone's time ... AmipalWhat do you think the future of the Royal Navy is? I feel convinced that one of those big aircraft carriers is going to get sunk.
Hopefully ... They have enough lifeboats. Hopefully the only thing hurt is pride.

I watched to the end of the second series of Cobra Kai. It was good. I preferred the first series, though, I think. The second one got a bit 'Orange County'. But ... The writer in charge of cliffhangers is a real talent. There was some fantastic work. The best cliffhangers in the business.

Should we tell sheep2 about the other forum we've set up without him? No. Secrecy is vital. I haven't told anyone at all about the alternative forum I've set up. Secrecy and solitude are the key to a bearable online community.

Ottm: a recent audit has revealed that I own over 15 pages of shoes - yet still only one pair of feet. I am worried I have sleep-walked into going full Imelda Marcos. Tomorrow I am going to check in the garage in case I've acquired a fleet of bulletproof limos without noticing.

16 pages?
Assuming ordinary A4 pages 1 column per page (may be a serious underestimate), 40 rows per page that is 601 pairs minimum. How do you sleepwalk to that many pairs? If you had a pair a month on order it would take 50 years to acquire 600 pairs.
Imelda would be proud of you.

I own
1 pair work shoes( black brogues) 2 pairs of boots (identical, one pair yet to be worn) 3 pairs of trainers - a very old pair effectively worn out, an old pair effectively worn out and a pair I use for actually going out and about.
I feel pretty decadent with the extra boots and 2 extra pairs of trainers.

What's long, hard and full of seamen? Not a British warship apparently.
Another full week in work done. Working from home would be good if I can get the data to analyse.

On top of that, I've hardly worn any shoes for 6 months, as I've mostly been in the house with my slippers on. There's a good chance now that I can stretch my current shoe library out until retirement, which means a lot of money saved to spend on games I won't play.

So, back to stricter lockdown rules here in Birmingham. Let the record show that I'm always happy to distance myself from Sheep2 . In this spirit I did more online grocery shopping, although it's becoming a bit easier securing a delivery now that the novelty of M&S products has worn off. TV last night: The Avengers, with many thanks again to Destry , also from the Pref.Mam. who liked it, and I quote, "a lot" (this is high praise coming from him). Fun fact, the German title of The Avengers is " Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone" (" With Umbrella, Charm, and Bowler Hat"). Yes, a bowler hat is called a melon in German. A literal translation of the original title as " Die Rächer" would sound far too serious and scary and not reflect the quirkiness of the series at all. No Tintin books today, instead my copy of Private Eye. I appreciate the cover:

I am a big fan of the phrase 'over 15' to describe things you own. It sort of implies 16 -20, but could conceal a whole lot more. It strongly suggests 16 is the most you can admit to.
I own over 15 CDs. Shenguin drank over 15 glasses of wine last night Harold Shipman killed over 15 people Rolling owns over 15 pages of shoes.
There are no horrible secrets in Rolling's closet. No room for them with so many shoes.
