Has Quizmaster been decided yet?
Personality is important. And gravitas.
Maybe a sarcastic Paxman type or a Bamber Gascoigne or maybe a William G Stewart?
Amipal?

Get Over would be a terrible quizzer. He would turn up late, at the wrong pub, in the wrong town. I hesitate to criticise*. But i do not think the quckest route from Gloucester to Brum is via Swindon. * I do not.

I am not available for quiz stuff, as I am a busy man. Not too busy enough to notice a Ford Sierra 2.0iS buggering down the road earlier. It looked in good shape, too. Amazing.

Just finished Children of Dune 4* There are some serious flaws in this, some in casting (Halleck with a poshed up Estuarine English accent provides as wooden a performance as my chopping board) and in costuming - where are the Fremen stilsuits? As a transition from town wear to deep desert wear, the flimsy masks worn by Leto and Ganima looked amazingly like inadequate PPE wear. The inadequate stuff they all wore would've let the skin be flayed from their bodies ... I'm guessing the cost of providing stilsuits to the large numbers of extras was beyond the budget, which appears to have mostly gone into the women's clothes which are sumptuous. But the big name cast delivers, as does the stunning Daniela Amavia who portrays Alia's descent into madness brilliantly. Don't let the purist down marking on Amazon put you off - IMDb's 7.5 is a better reflection of the series' quality. Alia

Really looking forward to the new Dune film. It looks to be breathtaking. It really does. I’m impressed & love villenueves other films. Going to do a re-read before it’s released as has been about 5/6 years since read it but am cautiously optimistic. Loved blade runner 2049 so if he can do a sequel to one of the best movies ever I’m thinking he’s the best equipped to tackle a book of that Calibre.

I actually prefer Blade Runner 2049 to the original. It's a great film. Denis is the perfect director to take on Dune.

I would reply on the aesthetics of the 'Stang but that would be a waste of energy and take way too long so instead here's a vehicular incentive. (The Mustang is my day to day, this is my weekender).
