I don't think I've been in a pub this year. A Bar/restaurant before lockdown. But not just the boozer. End of days.

I haven't been to a pub since last summer and that was just to use their bogs. I did the decent thing a bought a pint first.

We have the spot of rain, otherwise just a bit cloudy out.
Games: I beat the Hell Guards in Doom.
Telly: The rest of the first Sherlock Holmes film that Guy Ritchie did, pretty poor film.

Tbf I wasn't whinging (this time) - just pointing out that I'd sleepwalked into not going to the pub in 10 months.
Films. American Made. Tom Cruise being Tom cruise but it's an amusing movie.
Games. A jump about in a quiet lobby in GTA online. Nobody killing anyone else,
Back to Watchdogs 2 tonight I think.

I think the Guy Richtoy Sherlock films are perfectly serviceable. I mean, they're not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but definitely watchable. Gamesblog: no. TVblog: Adventure Time. Filmblog: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. It's a good film, but I think I prefer Fellowship. YouTubeblog: new Sweet Content available. Quake!

It's a good film, but I think I prefer Fellowship. Agreed; The Two Towers is the bleakest by far, the return of Gandalf does little to relieve the spread of the Shadow. But without the darkness it's hard to value the light in The Return... Am I alone, I wonder, in finding the awful, pathetic striving by Smeagol for redemption and the start of his subsumption by Gollum on the ramparts of Osgiliath desperately sad.

LOTR is one film in 3 parts. Plotwise The Two Towers doesn't make sense on its own. It starts part way through and ends with all the storylines unresolved.
Unlike say The Empire Strikes Back where the plots are largely resolved within the film.
In many respects Gollum is the only interesting character in LOTR. The other characters always know what they need to do. They may be mistaken or wrong, but there is no doubt in their aims. The only doubt is whether they are capable of doing it. Gollum is different in that he wants and doesn't want to change. The only person who comes close is Frodo with his gradual recognition he can't destroy the ring. But even then he sticks to the plan.

amipal 's sweet new content starts with a joke, an interesting new development, maybe trying to switch things up due to the challenge from Melvazord . Highlights are the Amiga specs gibberish and counting how many times Click-boom is mentioned. Scandalously there are 2* dislikes, who are these haters? Watching him play Quake does remind me of one of my favourite TV shows. *as of time of writing.

"LOTR is one film in 3 parts." So same as the book(s). This was only in response to Amipal ranking the film parts, which doesn't make much sense. I do have a degree in pointing out the bleeding obvious.
