PrefMam wants me to ask the builders whether they could make the house glow purple in the dark for Halloween.
They'd probably use this as an excuse to ask for more money.

I decided I would try a 'full English in a box' from a local sandwich shop. Well, it was ruddy bloody amazing. Bacon, sausage, hash brown, soft fried egg, BBQ beans, tinned tomatoes, 2 (TWO) slices of black pudding, toast and butter. Plus, as I refused the free cup of tea, they chucked in a free chocolate muffin instead. Five stars.

I was buckled over with food poisoning this morning from something I ate yesterday, so I had a plain lunch.
One corn on the cob.

Hi there! This is Eddie, your shipboard computer, and I’m feeling just great, guys, and I know I’m just going to get a bundle of kicks out of any program you care to run through me.
Games - none. Wednesday night is Tai Chi night. I tried to do it on the patio, but it got very chilly so I came indoors.
Games. Downloaded the Root Boardgame for iOS - lovely.
Films. Battle Royale (with cheese) love this film, it does so many things right. Reading up on some of the reasons why it’s never had a remake - “in case it inspires a school shooting spree “ - well.
Lockdown tier. 2

I've just been watching a film on the Sony Movie Channel.
Not bad. Flight World War II. It's about a 757 that flies through a storm in the Bermuda Triangle and gets transported to a German bombing raid in 1940. That sounds terribly amazing.

That sounds remarkably like the time I found you could export plane models between Flight Sim 98 (I think) and Combat Flight Sim, and managed to block the attack on Midway by parking 747's across the decks of all the Japanese carriers. Simple happy times.

Simple happy times. Thereby preserving the Japanese fleet, avoiding their losses, and allowing them to continue to operate effectively in the Pacific sphere, and negating the advantages that the USA had following the Battle of Midway?

ISTR the geo-political model was pretty poorly defined in both games, and tended to rely on set-piece battle scenarios. It would however have been most rewarding to go the full 'Man in the high castle' and see how my temporal meddling would have played out long-term.
EDIT - I am referring to the book here, not the US mini-series of the same name

I had to stay unil nearly 6pm to finish an email to a client and send them a bill.
It is in no way connected to me pissing around for much of the day. No way whatsoever.

I was supposed to be working this afternoon but I watched Zodiac instead. Take that, The Man. I watched Zodiac recently for the first time. It's good, but Mark Ruffalo is a terrible mumbler. I felt like shouting "speak up, man!" every time he had dialogue.
