I always liked Supergrass. First album in particular. Kula Shaker can get in the bin though. Dreadful.

I've only read the Menswear article so far, and that was bad enough. as in the 90's britpop band?
The very same.

Embrace Cast
Ocean Colour Scene Dodgy The Verve
The products of a nightmare collective hallucination caused by Gazza, Tony Blair, Robbie Williams and Des Lynam. Something like that.
Supergrass were ok though. In it for the Money is a good album.

I do not want to be too critical of Embrace. I just do not think that it is technically possible.
I am still waiting to hear back from the ICC about my case against Embrace. Once they have completely finished with the Yugoslav wars I should get the chance.

I drove through Ireland on holiday in the early 2000s with 3 avid Embrace fans. The only respite was when they put on Toploader for a bit. Hell of a week.

The first Embrace album is a solid 4 out of 5. They were a middle of the pack band for their time, certainly a lot worse were around.

I don't remember Embrace. I might have a listen.
Dodgy I quite liked at the time, which means they were probably terrible.

As do Shed Seven, Embrace and Ocean Colour Scene. I never liked Supergrass either. I thought the singer had a very punchable face
9/10 on the punchability index, possibly followed up with a knee to the bollocks.

One time in the 90s I went to a party hosted by someone I knew who was going out with someone out of Dodgy. The Pretenders (minus Chrissie Hynde) turned up drunk at one point and really harshed the vibe. Who wants to touch me?

Actually, I would go for Chumbles dad's advice. 'If you see Gaz Coombes, remember, it's balls, nose, ribs'.

Saw ocean colour scene on their first tour. Decent. Good live. Liked sway. Downhill from them on.
Dodgy. Nice guys. Roadied a gig of theirs.
Kula Shaker. Wank.
Verve. Best thing about them was Andrew Loog Oldham taking all their money. I mean how in fuck did they think they'd get away with that?
Oh yeah, cocaine. Hell of a drug.
Great one hit wonders of that time that still stand up? Perfume by Paris Angels.
Bands from that time who should have made it and didn't - 5:30 - great music, really nice lads. Even when you drop their bag of weed skinning up backstage in the West of Scotland.
Hello. Busy. Hoovering etc. TV. No. Games. Ghost Recon Wildlands. Sweet suppressed sniping. Marvellous.

Regimental Heavyweight Champion, Black Belt 20 stone; I am taller by 2", but dad moved like greased lightning - I only once saw him move in anger when my brother told him to fuck off. He moved so fast and with such cold, measured fury that when he put his face close to my bro's, my brother pretty much fainted. I suddenly realised that calm old fellow could be lethal. Scared me shitless.

Isn’t it a case of acclimatising them to the British climate? Gradually warming them up, like someone pulled from a freezing lake.

You can actually see our simian heritage in that man’s face. Actual living proof of evolution.
