Morning!
I spent too much time last night trying to find a normal villager on the mystery island tour. I got tired of collecting ore. I got tired, full stop. The villagers I met were almost comically rubbish, and none of them of the normal type. With only two more tickets left and feeling pretty pissed off, I finally came across Octavian, who I invited to my island. So, I didn't really need another cranky villager, but the plan is now to let Cyrano move on when he's good and ready and then get a normal replacement. If that turns out to be Marina then I'll have all the octopussies.*
Truly nerve-racking. Dark Souls has nothing on the Crossing of Animals.
*only joking; I'm well aware that the plural of octopus is octopodcast.

I'm just not interested in using any method outside of in-game mechanics because - feel free to laugh - I would feel that at that point I'm taking the game too seriously... For me it takes the fun out of this random experience with a surprise outcome - would I have chosen Octavian if I'd had a free pick? Probably not. Am I happy the game randomly offered him to me? Yes, I am. |

And another one bites the dust; this one was a 12 player Neptune's Pride game. The highlight for me was stuffing up a guy calling himself Brian Boru. He insisted on braying how he was going to stomp my arse; I took one of his stars and renamed it " The Morrigan's Feast". Thereafter I kept feeding just enough forces to stop him retaking it. The muppet never bothered doing the math to realize that I was replacing the lost ships from these battles twice as fast as he was... I even gave him a clue with the name. |

tenthenemy I assumed you'd think it was cheating but thought I'd better suggest it. Hello. More of That Stranger thing. It's not quite the Wire - but not as bad as made out. Chicken and bean casserole for dinner. Couple of beers after. Waiting on Forza to redownload as Windows Store had fucked it. Played a bit of Snow instead. Nice and mellow snowboarding.
