We started badly, I dropped at the designated roof top with another team and my two teammates aborted at the last minute and landed across town. I dodged the enemy bullets best I could and I just managed to reach my teammates with a sliver of health. From then on we tooled up and I healed up and we snuck out of town. I was carrying a Volt and Hemlock and I meant business.
I soon acquired a level 2 vest and helmet and all the bullets I needed and our squad soon defeated another team and we exited the area via a tunnel structure. I melted one said enemy with my Volt.
The closing circles were in a large open area near the largest city and we held back and let the other teams battle it out in the city (although I finished off one straggler with the Volt and took a few successful pot shots with the Hemlock) , before moving early and holding the centre ground in the open area as the other teams came flooding in.
Then it was all smoke, grenades and lots of other fake Mirages running around, but we managed to pull off the win by melting a lonely Wraith who snuck up at the end, and a Flawless one at that (no knock downs incurred for any member of the team). We were fuckin' Apex Legends Champions.
Telly: The Gentleman, mediocre cockney gangster film from Guy Ritchie, why does he have to fill these with extravagant Hollywood types and weird American and Russian gangsters?

Also went around the Tower of Latria in souls, got completely lost. It took me a long time to figure out. Best Souls level ever? I concur. Also tried the shrine of storms a few times, got smashed by the big lad and the sky fish both at once. Top banana
Briefly went on Asshalla, yet to set foot in Norwich but I have learnt the core modus operandi of the Assassin - putting your hood up and walking slowly.
4 and a half hours of Zoom meetings today? Top banana.

Morning.
Dad is in hospital again, ambo'd off on Sunday. Strangely, his symptoms are seemingly identical to Mr Rooster. Difficulty standing up and when he does manage it, falling over. He also has COPD. Waiting for the results of a CT scan. Luckily, my sister works at the same hospital.
It's not all bad news, I have a soundbar being delivered tomorrow and a new telly on Wednesday.
*puts on stiff upper lip*

Today I'm waiting for a DHL delivery of coffee, loads of coffee and hot chocolate. Not all of it decaf.
I've done my duty and voted in the Game Awards. This year's game that has been nominated in almost every category is Hades. I've already got it but haven't played it yet because Animal Crossing. It's only on Switch and PC atm and I've never come across anyone who's played it and isn't enthusiastic about it.
