Happy birthday master gongfarmerTV. No. Games. Yes! Tomb Raider on the laptop. Really liking the Bose noise cancelling headphones i got "free" with my phone. The PM can watch strictly while I play games and I don't have to turn up the sound. Stops me hearing the fan as well when things ramp up. I see stadia are currently giving you a free Chromecast/controller if you buy cyberpunk from them. Tempting at £40 with a tenner off. Even to resell the hardware on eBay. Hmm. {Edit}A few folk with the same idea apparently. Absolutely peeing it down here.

Just back from my first ever Flu jab, really efficient, 5 minute queue, hand in form, jab, off you go.
Also walked back listening to the Saturday Night Fever OST, it's impossible not to strut to it.

Happy Birthday Gong!
Today I have decided it’s time to clean the oven, as previously apparently used a slab of bacon to clean it with. Don’t think it’s ever been done. I have had to chisel off dried on grease from the drip tray, and it’s finally starting to look ok.
Games? Hahaha, no.

I have had to chisel off dried on grease from the drip tray, and it’s finally starting to look ok. Games? Hahaha, no. My mother used a tinned steak pie to do that and test the oven safety door at the same time. I can testify that an unpunctured Fray Bentos steak and kidney pie lobbed into the oven does the latter very well. When it went off there was a low dull thump, an incredibly loud scream and lots of small impact sounds. The outer oven door was wide open, the safety door's hinges was all that was left intact. The rest of it and the pie was all over the kitchen floor, walls, ceiling and my mother. She'd not read the bit which said "pierce lid"... these were the first of these* to be sold in the UK. She was OK, but the sight of this tough, determined woman covered in fragments of safety glass and a brown sludge will remain with me forever... *She hated cooking and it showed, so Dad would grab any gadget to try and improve it. Years of fruit cakes which were 4" high at the rim, steeply sloping down to a thin layer of Mum's Patented Pemmican. Great stuff for survival rations provided you don't mind the taste of charcoal.

Now I know the true meaning of a birthday Gong. Happy Birthday, gongfarmer ! Though he can't have been very good last year because the weather is absolutely dreadful here. At least we know whose fault it is. Fortunately it's nice and dry in the worry tent, although social distancing poses a bit of a challenge. Ganes: This morning I resisted the urge to indulge in a spot of save scumming in Animal Crossing after I narrowly missed the mark for creating a perfect Snowboy. I was successful yesterday and there's still plenty of time, so I let it slide. I was a dab hand at creating Snow People in New Leaf but have been trying to do it a bit more scientifically by making a 10-square path to reduce the size of the head snowball, but the whole enterprise takes up too much space, so I'll probably go back to making a guess at the correct ratio. TV: I still haven't watched Once Upon a Time in Iraq and I'm not sure that I will ever be able to. It's too close to home. Just watched some YouTube last night, then fell asleep before I was able to go to bed. Hate it when that happens. Pref.Mam. update: Talked to him last night, he's now in yet another room and much happier because he's got a reading light. Bad thing is that he's again out of breath and in need of the oxygen mask. He sounds exactly like me when I had fluid in my lungs after a bout of pancreatitis, so I'm guessing this is what's happened here. It's annoying but it will pass. Worst thing about it is that it is really difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Christmas cheer: the grandchildren are busy decorating Christmas biscuits. The twins have discovered the joys of sugar sprinkles, so that should make them nicely hyper. Hopefully they won't bring down the tree again.

Last time our oven was cleaned, we got someone in to do it who had Special Chemicals in his van.

I take amipal's man with chemicals in a van is much safer than crank's would be. No one recommending the Metallica cover on strictly for the jukebox?

FUCKING SLOW CHANGE YOU FUCKING MORON

Ahem. Sorry about that. Felice, I think slow change is better than constant, but I can see that it's subjective and that there is not merely validity in others' views, but also the chance to widen my understanding and see the world through other eyes.

We have six different settings on our christmas tree lights. Twinkle, slow change, fade, alternate flash etc.
We have them on constant.
EDIT: It's what baby Jeebus would have wanted.

Constant here.
I think this needs a vote, so we can weed out the slow change freaks.

I wonder if there would be any correlation between them and the inverters.
