We will now be breaking the law to see family, I decided not to see my side and now parents will either be alone or with mother's sister.
Mum lost both parents this year which means her not seeing my sister as planned a bit more of a blow.
The new restrictions if followed means my partner gets no family for Christmas or her birthday, doesn't matter we are both key with having to go out each day, she has missed them all a lot and we are not breaking any other rules like so many have done. Losing a close uncle didn't help.

We’re still in tier 2 here.
We’ll be heading over my partner’s mum’s on Christmas Day. She acts as after-school child care for our son, so we already mix with her anyway. And she also looks after our nieces, so they and their parents will be over there too.
All one big bubble.

Me? Christmas is totally unaffected by Tier shifting, except that my hubba hubba gorgeous shopping angel 😇 who was going to come into the house and hopefully sit on top of my Xmas tree have a cup of coffee and a chat is spared the ordeal. As is my hairdresser, who wanted to 'bubble' with me; I hope she wasn't after my Yule Log. My Mum and Dad are long gone and my bro died last January (but he wouldn't have been seen dead driving his Porsche {custom paint job} around here, so I am still safe)... One of the Nurseys was scheduled to be saying Happy Holidays by scraping my legs on Jeebus birthday, but they'll be in here on Boxing* Day instead to ensure I don't enjoy myself too much. *Probably wooden... So I will have a Christmas pretty much like the last six, except that my food choices are becoming more circumscribed. I intend to watch LotR, but I suspect I'm going to get a few folk who want to salve their consciences because they haven't stirred themselves to call, send a card, let alone visit since 2012 because I made the mistake of activating my Facebook ac. It don't matter, folk should get on with their lives and look after their loved ones. Melvazord: you can always paint surrogate me and tie my effigy to your Chrissymas tree! |

Though presumably he bowled fewer no-balls? EDIT: Actually, scratch that - it doesn't make sense as it's the heel that has to be on or behind the line... Also, toe nails aren't toes and also, they used to cut off slaves toes so they couldn't run away. Also, India all out for 36 despite having, one presumes, a full complement of toes. |

The PM's sister and fam weren't coming up anyway. But her BIL's sister was meant to be going to theirs in Oxford from London. Kind of fucks that.
Makes no difference to our plans. Be interesting what my work says about me going in come the new year as we're allowed to open for click & collect. Schools are saying online learning for the first two weeks back and starting a week later.
Tids is the funeral going to be affected you think?
