My partner is in the can-drive, won’t-drive category.
And she doesn’t drink.
Imagine that.

Never learned. Had a couple of lessons when about 19. Didn't like it. Spent the next 20 yrs off my face and didn't need to or want to learn or deem it responsible due to the previously mentioned oot ma box.
Then I had a kid and moved to the suburbs.
*Mic drop* Oh. Should have learned eh?

Not drinking and not driving is better than drinking and driving.

Skin on.
And I love driving. Old man Zord raced Formula Ford when I was a young kid and I inherited his love of speed (sadly never got the opportunity to race myself because I grew up shit poor thanks to Conservative policies fucking over Scotland)

crankcaller what rotten luck. 2020 really is a cnut of a year, right to the end. I don't drive, either. Both my parents didn't drive, so neither my brother nor I ever learnt. I'm still planning to change that one day, but the very thing that makes ihis more urgent, i.e. the Pref.Mam. losing mobility, is the very same thing that makes it more difficult right now. Done some driving on parking lots and such and am an excellent backseat driver, but I know, it's expensive and time consuming and I was disappointed to learn that one's not allowed to chuck banana peels at other drivers.

I notice Crank didn’t deny the bottle of Buckie each part. I know a chef who normally makes mulled buckfast that he sells this time of year aka "Muckie"

Neither of us drive, me due to not having* a driving licence and Pref.Mam. who does have a licence refuses on the unreasonable grounds that she wants a drink as well when get to wherever we're going to.

Learning to drive in Birmingham will make you the best driver. No doubt. If you can cope with driving through Kings Heath & Mosely then you can drive anywhere.
Top Tip: Laps of the Middle Ring Road are the way forward. It's not as good since they introduced speed cameras, but there's still some good spots for testing leet skillz.
Sadly the Expressway is not open to learners. It's the best road. Everyone who isn't a native finds the lack of a central barrier unnerving. It isn't. You just need not to drive in to the oncoming traffic.

Might be worth seeing if you can learn in an EV. No point “learning stick” (as the Yank would say) now.

I passed my driving test a week before my 18th birthday. I’ve now been driving for over half my life, which is just mad to think about.

Morning stick learners!
Getting into the Christmas spirit by ordering a truck load of ps5 games for myself from simply. Top banana.
There’s a big sale on psn from today so if your in the market for asshalla now might be the time. I think yakuza 7, which will transmogrify into the ps5 version is also on sale.
HDM - no idea what’s going on any more. It got all biblical.

I passed my driving test a week before my 18th birthday. I’ve now been driving for over half my life, which is just mad to think about. I've been driving for 30 years. Which is ridiculous seeing as I'm pretty certain I am only in my mid-late 20s.

I was turned down in my request for a license on the grounds of 'Sometimes gripping the steering wheel too tightly, and sometimes not tightly enough' and 'Sometimes approaching a junction too fast and sometimes not fast enough'.
Britain is a third world country and I think we're pretty much in a hopeless situation as it stands.
