I considered, for quite a while, buying a cassette of But Seriously by Phil Collins. I'll be straight with you - I liked his everyman style. I think I bought 'Kate Bush: The Whole Story' in the end.

I have Phil Collins-esque hair.
Also, Baxters chicken broth with toast and butter for lunch.

We get Asda to deliver. No trolley required. The lesser known Phil Collins album.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Destry, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Shenguin, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Shenguin, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Destry, get down on your knees so Shenguin can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Shenguin, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

You have to admit that Phil Collins probably wouldn't have got such a hard time from the intelligentsia if Peter Gabriel hadn't invented World Music.

Yes, I meant not.
Maybe this is how Americans started saying 'I could care less' instead of 'I couldn't care less'. Boils my piss. Makes it very hard to calibrate their actual level of indifference.

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope the shittiness of the day isn't too shitty, for those of you having shitty days, especially Tids and Crank, but also everyone else.
The inside of Scubar's brain is surprisingly difficult to understand.
Today I have been mostly working, but I also introduced a 12y-o who isn't mine to System of a Down. He liked them.
OTTM: I remembered that System of a Down are actually a bit shit.

No crowd interaction, no interaction between the band, literally played Toxicity start to finish then fucked off. To make matters worse they were supported by Dillinger Escape Plan and that was about the third time I'd seen them that year supporting other bands and they're fucking awful.

The 39 year old faceless does not like them at all.
