Hi.
Games: Celeste.
Ottm: We got 2 kittens a few weeks ago. Yesterday morning one of them ate a grape and had to be taken to the vet. Last night the other one ate some chocolate and had to be taken to the vet. Cost a bloody fortune. On the upside, I was too drunk to drive and therefore could not participate in any of the hassle.

Get them insured. Claim for anything over £80 and anything over £200 can be paid directly by the insurance company. Might never need it again, but you never know.

Shouldn't get your kitten to peel grapes for you.

Small amount of white stuff fell from the sky earlier. Last bit of DIY done, is this what people did during the other lockdowns? Either the stay home message has got through or everyone is suffering today round here. Have we finally brexited?

Morning. I'm drinking tea, all the tea. How's the sweats? Hot sweats last night, but at least I was warm and toasty. Sleep? no.

If there's anything I've learnt in more than 20 years of cat "ownership" it is not to leave foodstuff lying around. Or cables. Or anything that isn't a designated, bona fide cat toy, really. All cats secretly work for companies that offer you "storage solutions".
Late last night the Pref.Mam. phoned from the communal hospital ward phone in a panic because apparently his mobile phone charger had gone awol. If I didn't know any better I'd suspect cats. He's not used to using any form of technology without my help, so it took some time to establish what the problem actually was. I told him to get together a search party in the morning, hopefully they've been able to locate it in the meantime.
Video James and other forms of entertainment: I now have all the Frozen recipes in Animal Crossing, which means that apart from getting large snowflakes (of which I have plenty already) the only reason to aim for perfection in snowmen is that I need 5 more to get the Nook Milestone. After that I'm done with that sh*t and will build my snowmen any way I want. To hell with the tyranny of conforming to unrealistic beauty standards! Also, the dialogue is a lot funnier.
I also caved in to the Christmas eshop sale at literally the last minute and acquired Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and Bug Fables, both having been on my wish list for a while. Yes, I watch YouTuber Arlo, what about it?
Speaking of YouTube, I've been catching up with Scott the Woz videos and last night finally watched his Christmas special, "You're Not an RPG Guy" and liked it a lot, not only because of the Octopus Travelodge music. I recommend it, whether or not you are an RPG guy/gurl:

Out for a walk with the child this afternoon. Frosty. Luckily we're having...
Beef in red wine bubbling away in the oven. Smells incredible. Served with mash, broccoli, pigs'n'blankets and Yorkshire puddings.
Not quite the traditional steak pie for new years day - my wee maw will be spinning in her grave. Well, if we hadn't cremated her.
What's that? Yeah I had to open a bottle of wine for dinner. *Slurp*
Hopefully some games tonight.

tenthenemy Tell PM he's not to trust the nurses when they say "I'll look after that for you." 9 months 'inside' has taught me that it's the equivalent of patting a child on its head to shut it up. They invariably put it down somewhere and a cleaner will 'clean' it (cupboard dump = lost & found, or into the hospital waste if they hate you), or worse a porter 'port' it into their pockets and onto eBay ... Cables ... Jesus, Mary and Josephine ... sew them into his pyjamas they are worse - they lose themselves. In hospital outside of treatment the staff are your enemy; it starts in A&E - when you remember after you come round you left a notepad in your pocket - "We burnt your clothes". I swear you get one of these... ...so the light-fingered know where to look.

Does anyone have any problems buying things in the Switch store now?
I get a message saying I have to log in and do it on the internet...

Hello I played it. I liked it for a while, then I colossally failed in a battle and it let me keep going. I felt like winning battles made no difference. It all felt futile. I haven’t played it since. I was also put-off Witcher 3. It didn’t sit well with me. I spent quite a few hours with it, but we agreed to part ways.

lazybones I had no problem buying those two games on eshop last night, but I just used existing credit, so don't know. I put in two step verification in place a while ago, is it something to do with that? Chumbles fortunately the mobile phone charger turned up once they knew what they were looking for. Mr Tent Rooster's possession are so meagre that he's more likely to elicit charitable donations from nursing staff.

Huh. I only just noticed that last night crankcaller slipped unnoticed past the 6,000 posts mark with his Hogmanay greetings. I wonder whether anyone else could pull this off.

Every transaction is a one-off. I don’t know what’s gone wrong. The card payment references Germany so I’m blaming Brexit.
