I'm not defending the Capitol Hill rioters by by saying they're not terrorists. It's just that it broadens the definition of what terrorism means (or used to mean at least). At worst you can say what happened was violent insurrection. You can definitely call those involved violent right-wing nutjobs (not that I would expect Joe Biden to do this).
Saying 'terrorists', though, triggers an emotional response. It flags the people who did it up as 'dangerous (and unpatriotic) enemies of the state'. I can see why Joe Biden said it, I just feel it maybe devalues the term a bit (descriptively) for future use ...

I don't think Biden should have called them hullabalooniks, because it's too close to his " no malarkey" slogan. Although it would have been on brand. Today I've been sent a picture of this new Lego set:  My only regret is that this wasn't out in time for Christmas. With 10,621 pieces inside there's probably even enough for children to make their own IEDs! Hours of fun. |

One thing struck me: Brian Blessed / Lord Loxley is absolutely abysmal at defending his castle.

I was going to cook a quick curry tonight but that ship has sailed. Freezer yellow food or takeaway I guess.

In one of the obituaries of Sean Connery I heard that he got paid 2 million for his 3 minute cameo in that film, and donated it directly to the life sciences department at Dundee University. Also, he used to be a milkman and said 's' in a distinctive way. |

I've been driving about in Forza Horizon 4. I can state, quite comprehensively, that this is the best driving game I have ever played. I've even toddled down Princes Street in Edinburgh - it looked quite nice. I'm currently parked up in the Lake District waiting for a snow storm to finish. Safety first.
