Waiting for a phone call from the Pref.Mam. which came in quite late because he had dozed off. Everything okay in principle, Jeff's minion delivered the radio and peripherals, and the nurses will help him unpacking it tomorrow. Hopefully he can get it to work.
This afternoon I got a phone call from Mr Tent Rooster's pharmacy. They were saying that his regular 2 month supply of medicine had been with them since the beginning of December. I told them that he'd been in hospital since then and that I'm currently self-isolating and that I can pick it up as soon as I can go out again. They were pointing out that they can keep it only for a month, although everything in there has got perfectly good use-by dates. So I asked whether they could deliver it - the pharmacy is just round the corner from our house and my own pharmacy which is further away is always happy to deliver. Yes, they'll do that, but there's a £5 charge. Which I have now paid because what else am I supposed to do? They even checked their guidelines, and nope, no free delivery for people who are self isolating. If I had Covid and didn't want to pay £5 I would go along and infect some people on the way.
Presumably this is one of many reasons why lockdown is failing.

I saw that last night on Twitter. It's good that his mum is looking out for him. (I'm assuming that her name is Pasiphaë.) I also learnt today that the bloke who was arrested after he had been photographed inside the Capitol Building holding a bunch of flex cuffs, presumably to tie up hostages, had been accompanied to the riot by his mum. So I suppose he will claim that the handcuffs were part of the quality mother-and-son bonding. |
