I'm still alive, actually feeling a tad better today and slept better. I have this constant foggy head and I still have no smell or taste. No sign of the Covid test result either, yet Hancock still managed to find the time to prance about last night on the telly.

Games. Wee bit of Minecraft being frustrated trying to build a crafting table/bed before snuffing it. Think I've worked it out.
I've a work video seminar thing this afternoon on being a digital proxy. I didn't want to go on it anyway and I got a fucking cheeky email from someone at Napier Uni asking why I hadn't filled in some form they sent on Fri. It's from 1 till 4.30 today. Sigh.

I'd discount this as a symptom.

hello
I played Player Unknown's Battlegrounds last night. I played as one part of a duo. We had a few games, we walked around the countryside, we chatted, we shot the breeze. It really is an excellent game. Even if you're terrible you have ten minutes of walking, running and crouching, before you get shot down in the dirt.

I played The Eliminator mode on Forza last night. I came 5th out of 50+ players, I'm kind of a big deal now. I achieved this by hiding my Mini in some woods until the last minute and racing to the finish. A real power play.
OTTM: My lockdown beard is growing dangerously out of control.

I played Fortnight last nite, and won a Duo match with Sheep. Well, I say with Sheep, he attended the medal ceremony as a ghost. I won pretty heroically, by getting caught in a chaotic multi-team fight, jumping in a car and fleeing the bullets, driving off a cliff and hiding to heal. The third place player pretty much ran into some of my bullets later, and the second place player was the author of their own demise a few seconds later; I don't know what they did.
Edit: doesn't sound so different from MR Tiddles' tactics in Forza.

I get stuck on Fortnite. I have played it a few times now but not enough to feel familiar with the button layout. I spend about five minutes of each game with a blueprint for virtual steps or a wall or something, hanging around in front of me. It's even worse if I actually build one.
There's a game called Spellbreak that I'd like the world to get behind. Like Fortnite with mages.

I won 3 games of Fortnite last night. 2 solo games early doors and a duos game later.
The first win was a proper win. I shot the second placed player a lot.
The second win I hid at the bottom of a building while the second and third placed players chased each other as the storm moved in. The third placed player appeared in front of me at one point so I did him in.
The second placed player remained high up. I watched the storm get so small (s)he could no longer jump down. I munched a couple of fish and was waiting to take a health pack when I won.
The third win I bravely fought off and did in virtually everyone, allowing Shenguin through at the last second to claim the win for us, while I was taking a short rest.
3 wins in 8 games is a satisfactory win ratio. Would keep me in a job in the lower half of the PL.

I played one game of Spellbreak a while ago, at the behest of a 12y-o child. I played incompetently, using tactics I use in Fortnite, barely able to work out how to attack. I won the game. It felt empty.
