Screw you guys I'm going to watch Commando. A mate of mine watched Commando a stupid amount of times, just so that he could document all the bits where the film-makers screwed up. Like how you can see the spring-boards when there are explosions. Or the same background car featuring again and again in the car chase. Or, my favourite, the stunt director audibly saying “switch” mid-way through the fight between Matrix and Bennet. |

Two thirds of the way through the season I did an idle search to find out more about the Hearts of Oak, and found out it was also the name of a pro Tommy Robinson website. |

I had meatballs last night. In a pasta bake with hidden veg tomato sauce, extra mushrooms and some broccoli florets chucked in.
Tonight is turkey chilli from the freezer.
The child is currently having a facetime piano lesson. It's all a bit Les Dawson and she needs to practice more.

My understanding is that chainmail was most effective against slashing attacks from edged weapons, and unsuited to late 20th century combat methods. |
