Ganes blog: I already had some of my daily dose of Animal Crossing today as today is Festivale. I've always liked Pavé, but the big prize in his likeness, the Festivale Float, is a sight to behold. I already have a fairly large fairground area with a noisy teacup ride on my island, but now I want to display all of these fantastic new items and am running out of space! I particularly like the balloon lamp.
Yesterday my in-game letter box was full of flowers and chocolates because if your friendship level with a neighbour is high enough they'll send you either the one or the other for Valentine's Day. Because I always make an effort in keeping friendships at a maximum, all ten villagers felt compelled to shower me with presents. This after I had already bought all colour variations of chocolates and flower hearts for the catalogue. I had sent one lot to my granddaughter, but otherwise it's clogging up my storage space. Yes, I'm just a hopeless romantic.
Late last night I managed to get away from ACNH and finally start Xenoblade Chronicles (the definitive edition). This is because a number (namely two) of YouTubers I follow have started playing this game. I played a bit of it years ago but didn't get very far because I always take on all the side quests, of which there are rather a lot. They've definitely improved the menu and the HUD, but there's still so much information to take in. Generally the game looks a lot better. Hopefully this time I can actually complete it.
