Games. Not really. A late on couple of rounds of Apex but I'd had three beers and was terrible.
TV. More It's a sin. Enjoyable if that's the right word, but some terrible stuff going on I'd forgotten about.
The previously mentioned three beers has caused a small headache. Despite munching my bodyweight in spicy edame beans.

Morning Chumbles - congratulations on your three score years and ten. OTTM: Our central heating boiler has packed up. Luckily we have British Gas Homeserve so tried to book an engineer visit. Next available slot? 7th April. Apparently their engineers are on strike. Marvellous. Currently pursuing other options. Reminds me of the joke, "how many corgi certified engineers does it take to change boiler" "dunno - it depends on the size of the toy box" MORNING A blindingly good opener from Chumbles heralding his return to the fold. Video James - some Yakuza 7. The story has been top banana so far. Having MP like some kind of Yakuza punching wizard is tremendous. Mad as a sack of cats.
Also briefly popped in to Asshalla, still no sign of wide Andys ancestors tho.
In other virtual Viking nonsense, planning on trying more Valheim thisafter. Previously hence I had built a workbench but it wouldn’t let me use it as there was no roof over it. Pretty sure that’s not how workbenches work.

Valheim seems as shonky as hell at the start. But after a while...
You can use the workbench without a roof (just using the hammer tool) but you can build a lot more on it with the roof.
It doesn’t make a lot of sense but it is an incentive to start building.
I’ve built another house, on a kind of knoll, in a marsh. It doesn’t look much but it’s home to me. A second home. An outpost from which to wage war on the poison shaman who robbed me.

Meant to grab some neeps this morning as that bastard Tom Nook wants 2.5m for a basement but I forgot.
Lunch was smoked mackerel and beetroot Herby couscous. Didn't have any horseradish to put in the yoghurt dressing though. 4 stars

Today I trimmed my beard, and went over my hair again. Same length all round. I'm all set to study whether beard or head hair grows faster.
Edit: I'm worried I'll report back in a couple of weeks that nasal, eyebrow and ear hair are the joint winners.

The problem I’m facing in Valheim at the moment is that I’ve got no clothes. When I got ambushed by the poison shaman I lost everything on my person, including my tunic, pantaloons, and deerskin helmet.
I’ve got nothing. Or had nothing at least...

Granddaughter's night in A&E was a harrowing experience for everyone involved. She was very brave through all of it, including getting a cannula fitted for a drip, and having several X-rays. She and her mum were put onto the hospital's children's ward and were trying to catch a few zeds when an extremely cheerful surgical team burst into her room at 4 am.
Long story short, it's probably a case of gastroenteritis. In the morning they put her on something they call "Trial by Food". Sign me up! She had some toast for breakfast (which she managed to keep down) and was promised to have a Sunday roast for lunch, which greatly excited her. If all goes well she should be discharged sometime this afternoon. Unsurprisingly, nobody got much sleep last night.
