Brazil is so fucked. Bolsonaro is a fucking disgrace. The US is lucky in that the election and the availability of vaccines more or less coincided and prevented further damage. Plus, federalism mitigated bad decisions by the central government. Brazil hasn't been so lucky. As for the AZ vaccine, I also had it without problems, and the UK is doing the right thing by continuing to use it. I don't understand what Germany and other European countries are trying to achieve by suspending one type of a much needed vaccine. By all means investigate, but continue to give out jabs at the same time, particularly to those who need their second shot. Maybe there is a correlation between the vaccine and blood clotting, but you know what really increases the risk of thrombosis? Catching Covid. And then thrombosis might be the least of your problems. |
