Another major peeve; <RANT> The use of "over and out" in virtually every movie/tv show to conclude a radio conversation. It's either "Over" to pass communication to the other party, or "Out" to terminate communication. "Over AND out" makes no fucking sense. Yet it's everywhere. </RANT> 100% this. These people will be putting their own words into the phonetic alphabet next, like Movember. |

Morning.
Pouring with rain. Which kinda suits as it will hopefully wash away the detrious from the pavement outside my/neighbours wall that was left over from being fixed and painted. "Have you got a hose..." She asked in the week. Yes, I do. Want me to use it to soak the yappy bastard dug your son leaves tied up when he walks your dog?
Games. A wee bit of BOPS2 story mode. The Division 2 for the laptop finally downloaded. So I signed up to clear the streets of Washington DC from the filth that are roaming around. Kinda good starting again as you know what's what.
Daky don't you ever want a nice coffee instead?

I do have a coffee as a stand in quite often, and make a habit of flinging it over myself on the walk to the office. But nothing scratches the hull itch like a good rod hull.
On the trains as such.
Had some top times in Valheim last night - sailed back to my coastal stone lodgings with the bow, and shot a few deer. This allowed me to craft some leather trousers. Top banana. It’s not that kind of game. Then went for another sailing trip down the coast in the other direction. Just Black Forest for ages. In the end I turned back when it started getting dark.

Gaming night:
Things were tough lately as we were put in matches with the bigger boys, so we had to play more intelligently and build guns and shit. But cometh the hour, cometh the man. That man being me.
Win 1 - my two team mates lay downed at my feet so first priority was to down the player that killed them, who as it happened had his back toward me and was standing still in a weird end game power play. Next his team mate built over me for the final showdown, time for Babyfark to hold his nerve...
Second win was a bit more straightforward because I cashed in my gold at the start for a gold scar for me and a blue AR for my brother. We had the high ground (Anakin!) but a pair of bloody wolves showed up to try to spoil things. I was calm throughout and once again delivered the win.

Played some Hades last night, enjoyed it. Can see it being a massive time sink, has a great “one more go” feel. Also bought Far Cry 4, time to head back to the mountains of Kyrat.

I think I had a mild 'coming out of lockdown' dream last night. I was hiring a dinner suit but had to go to 'Sir Plus'. It was all stained and stinky, with big lapels and flares.
I had a dream the other night about going to the shops and feeling it was ok to do so just wrapped in a post-shower towel. The essence of the dream was me finding out this was not the case.
