No games played. Again.
Whilst the younglings were out, I booted up their Xbox Series S and trawled through the game pass offerings, watching a fair few trailers. Some tremendous stuff there. I've installed Ori and the Will of the Wisps but didn't get chance to play it yet. It looks ace. Also saw a game called October Travel Agent but as I've never heard anyone mention it, I quickly moved on. One game I did see that I have never played, but heard good things, Alien Isolation. The trailer was great. Tempted.

I'm still trying to finish Doom3, 11 hours in so far. It is superb.*
*In the sense that it has made me 'jump' a few times with a 'What the fuck...' and lots of running away.

Hi Sorry to disappoint everyone but I still live. Was recently promoted, but it won't go to my head, I am a man of the people. Well, maybe a small power trip to show who is boss. Tried playing Subnautica. An entire game that's a water level? Well that's my nerves shot to shit. Back to Skyrim. Bye. What would impress you when interviewing? Insightful questions, relevant work experience, being knocked out or not wearing trousers in person/over zoom? Lunch blog, none. Bristol police fibbing about injuries and clobbering journo's doesn't look great. Edit: Shenguin's sometimes a dick. |

Last night I didn't get enough sleep. Tonight we are losing an hour, so I won't get enough sleep. I see a pattern emerging here and I don't like it.
Losds of pressing matters, letters to be written, paperwork to be sorted, no time for games.

Hello.
Having finished watching The Terror on BBC iPlayer, and while Mrs D was watching some shite on terrestial TV, the iPlayer recommended I watch Taboo, a 2017 production featuring Tom Hardy which I somehow missed first time round.
I've now watched the first episode and am suitably impressed/intrigued. I look forward to the next seven episodes. *
* Apparently a second series was commissioned in 2017 but has yet to see the light of day.
Based on Ep 1 (and if somehow, like me, you haven't seen it) I recommend it. it 4 stars

I turned Alien Isolation on the other day, still stuck in a locker. It is very good, the feel of the environments is brilliant. Sound is excellent, seems like a lot of effort went into it. |
