scamanderI had mine on a Friday, then had the weekend to feel under the weather. Textbook. How long were you feeling it? Have a podcast interview setup for Friday and concerned about whether I'll be too ill for it. I had the good stuff, the AstraZeneca. None of that foreign muck. The under-the-weatherness only lasted a couple of days.

You've been injected by the man who injected Jason Leitch? That's a pretty good claim to fame. Possibly even an autobiography title.

Hullo.
I am very busy today in preparation for a longish journey tomorrow. I will be taking a sportsbag full of tools with me.

hi
I had one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had last night.
I mean really ... there's not much to it. I just won a game of PUBG, with my squad. We had won two games last week but it was with my friend's brother, and he was very good. This week it was just us.
It feels amazing.

I won a duos game of Fortnite last night. While Shenguin stood and watched and and asked what was going on I walked up behind the final pair and shot them. Also up to 80 solo wins. My enemies are on fire this season.
I think I should play something else. Probably not Demon's Souls though

Sheep2Player Unknown's Battlegrounds has a lot going for it. Like Fortnite but with a sense of desolotion (and no building).
Actually - the more I play Fortnite the more I like the building. The wolves can do one though, and the velociraptors. The in-game characters I'm unsure about. Not sure that they add much.

I did find out that five of my 'kills' in the game last night were of bots. But I don't mind. They deserved it. There was at least one person at the end who was real. I'm convinced they were real. And I got them too.
What a thing.

In one game I got attacked by two raptors, followed immediately by a boar, followed immediately by a player, followed by a wolf. I managed to kill the player, but I only had 4 health. I was right next to a medical kit but the bastard wolf wouldn't give up. He only had to do the tiniest amount of damage to knock me down. It was upsetting to be lying there next to a first aid kit unable to take it. Particularly when my so called ally declined to rescue me.

I'm having a break from PUBG. Things were getting too tense, I was unable to separate the game from reality. I would walk past a church tower on the way to Tesco and look out for snipers.
I need the calm, soothing of NMS for the next week or so.

I would walk past a church tower on the way to Tesco and look out for snipers. That's just sensible. You've always got to be on the look out for snipers and zombie hordes.

Where are you lot playing pubg? I tried it on pststion and it was a bit sluggish.
Awful headache this morning, fully moribund.

I'm playing on the Playstation. I never found it sluggish, but then I'm not a twitch-reflex PC gamer. I changed the settings yesterday (in accordance with a web-page on optimised settings) and it is now a lot quicker / more responsive.

I was too busy surviving, and avoiding really dangerous spots full of dangerous animals. I think I got on of the final pair down in that game, before getting shot to get us second.

The fact Matt Groening was replying to that email address as Homer for two weeks after original transmission tickles me greatly.

Hello
Today I managed to sit outside for an hour in the sun, in the garden, drinking beer and reading. Cloud has now precluded that, but it was most pleasant while it lasted. Particularly as yesterday began with snow.
4 stars. Would recommend.

Valheim chat (A tale of woe)
Last night, my character, Erik Gingernuts, decided to upgrade his dwelling into a type of long-house, as he needed more room for the new kitchen range and cauldron, wherin which he was to prepare all the wondrous new carrot-based recipes he is now able to craft. As occasionally happens the forest 'came to life', signalling Dwarfs would soon come a-marching in. Not a problem for the sturdy defences thinks he.
They came. They came with a fucking troll!
A couple of swings and the troll was through Erik's defences, and the dwarves swarmed through the gap, and headed straight for the carrot patch!
Picture if you will a lone bronze-clad warrior, in a field of carrots swinging an axe wildly at a never-ending stream of dwarfs and greylings. It was carnage. Carrots rent asunder, and dwarf residue everywhere.
Eventually the forest calmed, and the onslaught petered out. Not a single carrot was left. Not one.
Erik repaired the stockade, and went to bed hungry.... plotting revenge.

Somerset? Is Tiddles a bumpkin? MrTiddles are you a bumpkin? A yokel? A South Londoner, who is now semi-retired in Devon. I'm going to Somerset to fire up* 'The Green Machine'.
*Hopefully.
