I read Keefs article about building your own PC. Other than work/personal 'non gaming' pc/lap tops, I've been a console bum since my beloved Amstrad CPC464. As I was reading the article I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened...
I've started looking at gaming PCs/lap tops.
I'll never* buy/build one.
*I might.

Pref mam is concerned that we may be the only people in the world who have never seen Line of Duty, so we are watching Line of Duty. It's ok so far. The PM is obsessed with it. I've never watched it, but it does sound good.

Also, and you might need to sit down before you read this, I also became aware that 'Greggs Drive Thru' is now an actual real life thing.
What a world.

I've only ever seen clips of Line Of Duty in shows like Gogglebox.

Keef made a huge newbie error in expecting his newly released CPU to work right away on a previous generation motherboard. A real howler.

The PM's brother in law works in motion capture and they use high end machines for these shenanigans. He told me yesterday:
"in the last 3 months I've ordered (but not got to play with) 3xRTX 3070, 1x3080, 4x 3090, plus a 4x3090 server (with a 32 core AMD CPU). Only the 3070s and 3080 have actually shown up, and the 3080 was the same price as the 3070 was 2 months later."
Madness.

My face is a real howler.
From what I gathered, all I need to do is buy several parts that aren't on sale due to a shortage, get Nick Nack from the Bond films to fit them all together with his tiny hands, whilst simultaneously rubbing a balloon on my hair and a bit of rope tied round my wrist at one end thats connected to a radiator at the other.
Sold!
