OTTM: Work. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. I guess I'm going to fail in this morning's meeting. It's not a good look, but it suits me.

I played Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds last night. I can’t say it brought me any happiness. I’d been playing in ‘Team Death Match’ mode, to prepare for squad matches in ... ordinary mode, but I was worse than ever last night. I was almost always the first to die. I got very few ‘kills’. I was clumsy and slow with my reflexes.
I don’t feel good.

Lazy - TDM is where the pros go to practice. It is a dark and desolate place and you will find only crushing disappointment there. I think my record for kills in one of those matches is 3, I always die at least 10 times.

Hello everyone, TV. No. Games. Started Sea of Thieves. Got off to a rip roaring start by not being able to raise the anchor. Apparently I hadn't emptied the water from the basement of my boat. They're called basements right? Sorted that and went sailing on the seven seas. Also did a small mission in The Division 2. I'm now Level 14. The guns are getting better. scamander what guns you running with? I'm currently favouring the honey badger AR and a mk17 rifle. With a shotty occasionally. Can't stop using the seekers / drone combo. Might start using the recovery hive when I get nearer to 30. Proper frontier gibberish. But it's grabbed me again. |

I've got a rifle (old school one but lethal) and a shotgun which kicks out 70k.
The honey badger was my favourite early on, I'm hoping for a high end drop of one. Been making a few high end weapons as well.
I wasn't sold on shotguns initially but en-masse psychopaths getting close seems to happen more now I am above level 30 and moving through the main mission.

In addition the best combo as per advice I was given is the drone and turret.
The hive seems more relevant to a team match. Single player is about keeping the enemy dead or busy. A drone and tutret will do that.
Seeker mines are nice but only benefit from when an enemy is hunkered down. I don't see that happening very often, perhaps uaeful against snipers but they tend to be up ladders which negates the seeker.

Or about slightly disappointing Blues forwards of the 1990s. Anything else perhaps not so much. Incidentally the Steve Claridge haircut is a good look, a very strong look. |

'This is where I get better', I've thought. But in the real game it just hasn't translated over. I panic, my reflexes are slow, I shoot the floor by mistake and am often gunned down ... I don't know what I'm doing wrong ... The only gun I feel comfortable with is the S1897 shotgun. I know it's not perfect. I know everyone uses some sort of full-auto Automatic Rifle or Sub-Machine Gun, but what can I do? I try and use different guns, to be sensible, but I always go back to it. Maybe if I practice with this one gun. I can attain the next level. Embrace its flaws. |

There's a van parked right outside my house, and the driver has been sat there for the last 10 minutes or so reading the paper and eating his lunch. Every so often when I glance out the window we make eye contact.
I'm thinking about making it weird. I might take my T shirt off.

In Fortnite it took me ages to get not so bad. I think I only had one kill* in my first hundred matches. And that was lucky.
My first win was a zero kill affair. The last opponent just died out of pity. I took it and celebrated like I had achieved something tremendous though.
If you persist you'll get reasonably competent at PUBG eventually.
