Looks like I got my Gates mind control just at the time Bill is coming on to the market. As centi-billionaires go he's pretty good looking. We could discuss spreadsheets and maybe more.
Melinda remains as a fallback option. I just don't think we could discuss spreadsheets in the same way.

Morning all!
Gamesblog: nah.
TVblog: It’s Always Sunny, and two episodes of Babylon 5.
Amigablog: latest Sweet Content is getting some good traction on that Social Media they have, these days. I also watched some demos, Divine and Severed, both by Mellow Chips.

I was always surprised Bill Gates got married, particularly as he’d said that 640kb was all you’d ever need*.

Morning all,
Spent Thursday onwards playing Rome Remastered.
It's a bit of an odd one. They've rehauled the UI which isn't as much fun as the original and feels as if it's a office-simulator minigame.
Plenty of folk railing at it, I sense a few spectacles are having their tints de-rosed. The game was fun but swam with oddities.
The problem is that the team has said they have just polished it but they have made changes and introduced new things (e.g. merchants). If so then why not deal with a couple of long standing issues (e.g. city revolts due to population growth)?

May the 4th be with you!
I woke up almost 4 hours ago when the milkman dropped off my milk delivery (and finally, my Welsh cakes, though again no raspberry milk, which I don't believe exists anyway). I must stress that he's not at all noisy and I don't believe he woke me up, it was just a coincidence that I spotted the milk float outside my house. So I thought that instead of just going back to sleep I should better get the goods inside before everything got wet, and once I was pottering around the kitchen one thing led to another and I had breakfast rather early.
Since the weather is still shite and I haven't had enough sleep I reserve the right to have a nap later. When I look outside I feel like hibernating anyway.
Games: Just a bit more XBC, switched to Reyn to talk to every single person in Colony 9. This worked wonders. Where previously getting information was like pulling teeth the colonists were positively eager to spill the beans. Who knew he was such a smooth talker?

Bill and Melinda split up and this morning I find Word is crashing every 5 minutes. Bolder move than cutting the ends off all his ties i suppose.

Morning
Horizontal rain here. Dog is acting nonchalant, as if she really doesn't want to go out for a morning pee, but she must be tying a knot in it. To be on the safe side I will clip her on a long lead when she does make a dash for it, to ensure she doesn't get blown away.
Bin men are wisely staying away. Can't say I blame them. There's not enough hot tea in the world to make me want to brave venturing outside.
Ganes? Decided to head towards Valheims' 2nd boss only to discover that I have spawned on a large island, and the boss is still half a world away. Didn't fancy setting out on just a raft, so have crafted something with a keel and set off in the general direction, hoping to make landfall where I can set up a temporary base. Felt bad for leaving the 2 boars I've been taming at main camp, as they have just rewarded me with a little stripy piglet. Awwwwwww. On the plus side there should be a good supply of fresh meat waiting for me when/if I make it back there.

Awful start to the week. Kid 2 did a massive poo as I was leaving the house so that delayed everything and when I logged on to my laptop at 8.45 I noticed I had a 8.15 meeting.
Can only get better from here I suppose.

Hello. Games. Another run around in Div2. Loving the LMG at the moment. 200 rounds into the kisser of the big tanks on bounties. Marvellous.
TV. Some thing that passed us by with Robbie Coltrane/Julie Walters called National Treasure. No Nicholas cage to be seen.

Morning
I trust everyone else made as much use of the day off as I did.
Games Reached 100 solo wins on Fortnite Fortunately there are always new rounds left to conquer*
Intergalactic I watch this so you don't have to. Well the frst four episodes The effects are very good, expensive. They obviously spent so much on the effects they couldn't afford a writer. The acting is ok. There are only 3 things wrong with it, plot, characters, and writing. It feels like the pacing is all wrong. They've tried to squeeze too much in and it is not given room to breathe. Also it's never quite clear which bits are meant to be humorous and which are merely clunky exposition. This is not a good look. It's like they looked at every sci-fi show made in the last 50 years and took all the bad bits.
It's not that it is absolutely awful like late 198s Dr Who It is just not very good. It makes the Expanse look Nobel prize worthy. It doesn't help that one of the main characters is the equivalent of Chrisjen Avasarala, but s written without any of the subtlety.
Four stars. Recommended.

Division2 problems getting past the fast little buggers that seem to be wearing suicide jackets. Division 4 player over promoted to Division 2.

hello
I was alone in the flat this weekend so went deep into Player Unknown's Battlegrounds. I thought if I really steeped myself in it I would ... see some improvement at least.
It's hard to say. Too early to say. I'm going to lay off it for a bit.
I also played Resident Evil 4. Good game. Great game. Well ... I played it when it first came out on the Wii, and I remember it being snappier - more responsive - but I suppose you were aiming back then with the 'Wiimote'. Anyway I'm back on it, on the Switch. I like it.
What I don't like is this lifting of lockdown regulations. I feel like a deep sea fish being unwillingly brought to the surface

Division2 problems getting past the fast little buggers that seem to be wearing suicide jackets. Division 4 player over promoted to Division 2. I tend to run with a rifle/shotgun combo. Makes hitting the yellow box easier. In one instance a shot exploxed the chap in question and this caused a couple of barrels to go up as well taking out his chums. A decent shotgun makes a lot of things easier in the game and though they have an optimal range they still do a job past it. I have one high end with a talent that afflicts blindnesson a head shot. Used mid range some of the shot notmally hitsthe headdoing a small amount of damage but more importantly applying the blinded status.

Hello, I was woken up at 5am by my son trying to murder me. Both hands clamped over my mouth. Once I'd got my bearings and my heart had stopped pounding I had to very patiently explain to him that if he wanted to suffocate me he'd also need to cover the nose. And that if he's planning on murdering a parent it might make more sense not to chose the one who pays the bills and teaches him how to play video games.

Morning. My sickie from last week has also expanded to covering today. Who saw that one coming? Lots to do, very busy. No games. I’ve been watching that Shadow and Bone series, adapted from a good set of books with maps in the front. I’ve also been reading some of those books with maps in the front.

Sheep2 I watched the first episode. It reminded me of Blake's 7, but not in a good way. Which is weird because Blake's Seven had decent writing and terrible effects, while Intergalactic had decent effects and terrible writing. It's the same setting. A bunch of criminals escaping and hijacking a ship. I don't think the so called 'writer' had watched Blake's Seven or at least had not understood it. Too many of the cast have (fake) cockney accents as well. I'm pretty certain that when we go in to space properly feral South Londoners won't be invited to join the party. If that is not the case we should abandon rocket science immediately.

I feel ok with strange accents in films and TV. People do often talk with strange accents. It's possible there is someone in the world who speaks with a similar accent as 'Bert' in Mary Poppins. It's not necessarily fake. Maybe it's just a distinctive confluence of influences.

It's not that the actors aren't from / do not live in London. It's more that they all talk like salt of the earth scum, but are mostly pretty posh. Plus I find the feral Lon'on glo'al stop most unpleasant on the ear. I do not enjoy listening to people who sound like they were born in Croydon and learned to talk by watching Eastenders.
