Hi
Last night I bought Skyrim.
This morning I downloaded Bloodborne, customised my character, died, equipped him with the Hunter's Axe and Pistol, and then died a few more times.

I have probably met about 100 people who posted on the Gamesblog. Some of the I now know quite well.
Shenguin is not one of them. I knew about him in real life.
He discovered I was hiding from real life on the gamesblog and sometimes the football pages some time ago.
Shenguin You exaggerate. it was 0-8 (0-1 to Millwall, 5-0 to Brentford, 0-2 to Barnsley.) Blues are at least 20% better than you think. Plus we have a new manager. A new better era is dawning.
Cardiff ticket? I have one spare if you want it. I say spare it is actually my ticket. They are not sold out though. I could easily get you one.

In the absence of DQ, Worv etc, I feel obliged to tell you that in Bloodborne, the cane is the best starter weapon.

I'm sure worv recommended the axe to me. Either way the axe and pistol seems to be the most recommended combo. The cane hits too weak in general, it's extended form is good for mob control but apart from the first area you should be able to control these pretty easy. The axe hits much harder which you'll need for the big enemies early on. Particularly the cleric beast.

Also, there's a cheaty bit early on with some enemies.. you can hide in a door way and chop them down without fear of reprisal. Good to soul farms.
Lastly, learn to parry early on- the visceral attack hits seriously hard, taking out most early enemies in one go.

I used the saw blade to start. Get Ludwig's Holy Blade as soon as possible. It is the best.

Morning all. Still chugging Lockets like they're going out of business. Got some bonus info yesterday, so currently doing some sums and looking at shiny camera bits. You could use the bonus to buy very accurate scales, and let me know how much a single locket weighs. I believe we already have that capability within our group here.

Saw blade is best. Sheep is correct, on both counts.
Also, just remember, no weapons until after the bridge with two wolves. That's how you do it in the big leagues, apparently.

Technically I think you could run past every enemy (apart from possibly one by the first ladder) until after the two wolves. It's a bit difficult in the courtyard just before the wolves, but a bit of careful timing will do it there. Also you don't have to fight the cleric beast. Opening the gate is useful. You will need to fight one guy to do this. Obviously on a first run through this is effectively impossible.

Important amendments to the Games Workshop story at The Other Place.
•This article was amended on 5 March 2018. An earlier version misspelled Roboute Guilliman - the avenging son of the Emperor of Mankind in sci-fi spinoff Warhammer 40,000 - as Raboute Gulliman.

I also read Troll Slaying by Finn, but it didn't do me any good when confronted with my first troll. I'm sure I'm not doing it right. I don't think you are doing it right. Books in Skyrim are to be opened, met with a smile (skill point) or a frown (no skill point) then closed. Unless it's just me doing it wrong. Are any actually worth reading? I think I tried a few in Oblivion but they got a bit samey. Ahem. and But, of course, I didn't buy his book. I got it from the library. It's just that I like reading. I got excited when I found a copy of Mogen, Son of Molag's The Cabin in the Wood in my bedside table. Then I felt disappointed because it was only volume 2! What kind of bastard gives you a story without the beginning or the end?

Also, Bloodbourne - Saw/Cleaver until Ludwig’s Holy Blade.
Although what do I know, I’ve not finished the game once yet.

Wednesday question (borne from a conversation/ argument at the other place), if you hate everyone equally are you still racist/ misogynistic/ transphobic/ homophobic etc.?

if you get the Hearthfire DLC you can build a library in one of the houses. It's not extensive but looks quite nice.
