Visited a couple of friends after work yesterday. First one was to fix his pc. Fuck knows what he's done but he's lost a pile of films/music he's downloaded. He's on long term sick so he's got time to get them again for he wants to watch them. Not backed up of course despite the external drive I made him buy.
Then visited another friend to see him and his kid. Got a big meeting this morning in work and really can't be bothered with it.
Tv. None.
Games. Solo mode on GTA at the friend's so his kid could fly helicopter gunships. Tried explaining that when we were 8 video games were a dot on a screen that was supposed to be tennis. He gave off the vibe I was an actual dinosaur sitting in his living room chatting to him.
He's really good at flying in games and I'm going to hire him with haribo to do my hanger missions for me. Though he'll only get enough during the missions to stop him shaking.

Morning!
Started a new character on WoW, because my life just wasn't appalling enough (and because Nagrand is the best levelling zone in any game, ever). Also played more .hack, where Haseo has just, somehow, become more of a wanker. "I hate people who have game breaking powers!", an hour later, "Now I have this game breaking power I'm going to kill whoever I want, hahahahaha". I've never wanted a protagonist to die so badly.

Sorted the last beast in botw.
Thought "time to spank Ganon"
Then a message popped up saying that due to me having season pass Ballad of the Champion has unlocked which takes place before Ganon (makes more sense).
So I will be doing that.
Downloaded Link to the Past for Wii U.

Morning, TV: bit more Mad Men. I doubt that they can keep up the quality over the existing seven seasons, but so far, so good. Games: just a bit of Skyrim. I'm finally taking the first of the 7,000 steps. I really enjoy the overworld, particularly where I can interact with people. The dungeons so far I'm enjoying less, due to their linear and similar design. It looks as if I'm settling for a left-handed, sword-wielding mage with acceptable archery skills. The guards tell me that they have heard of me and my honeyed words but aren't interested in investigating the dead woodcutter just outside the village. I've read Cats of Skyrim by Aldetuile to my cat and played Miracle of Sound's Khajiit Like to Sneak for it. I also read Troll Slaying by Finn, but it didn't do me any good when confronted with my first troll. I'm sure I'm not doing it right.

Morning all.
Still chugging Lockets like they're going out of business. How I wish for the menthol ones - the honey &a lemon are okay, but I need something to loosen the nose.
Played some Far Harbour last night, delivering some mirelurk carapaces to someone. They were happy to receive them, but didn't come across happy. I then started yomping across the island to have a chat to some Children of Atom nutters.
Got some bonus info yesterday, so currently doing some sums and looking at shiny camera bits.

So I will be doing that. It doesn't really make any difference; I did my Ganon spanking before I did the Champions' Ballad, and, in a way I was glad to have seen the ending before getting more information about the events from 100 years ago. I also felt happy that I had found all memories, although nothing is taken away if you haven't yet. Have you been to Hyrule Castle yet? It's a great place and I recommend factoring in enough exploration time and not leaving it right to the end.

Back from Barcelona. This country is too cold.

At my meeting. Anyone with any sense is running away from gdpr. My colleague who is full of self importance and doesn't realise his own limitations has asked if he should be part of the working group. Breathtaking arrogance.

Books in Skyrim are to be opened, met with a smile (skill point) or a frown (no skill point) then closed. Unless it's just me doing it wrong. Are any actually worth reading? I think I tried a few in Oblivion but they got a bit samey.

I also read Troll Slaying by Finn, but it didn't do me any good when confronted with my first troll. I'm sure I'm not doing it right. Fire, and lots of it. Let's try this again with proper quotes and without misreading Scubar's posts: I know I need loads of fire, but it wasn't enough. I'm not FRANK when it comes to dealing with trolls (he's a dab hand at the 'premod' spell that can be upgraded to 'permaban').

I started playing Rime on Sunday. The fauna on the island doesn't seem to be quite plausible in evolutionary terms. I made friends with a fox. I've decided to call her/him Fox (just in my head, I can't name her/him in the game). I like Fox. I think I like the game, but I'm not totally convinced. At least I can swim and am mostly not stupid enough to fall off cliffs to my death.

Brilliant penultimate day of work I have to Transgender awareness training, with a transgender person telling us about it.
If she asks "do you have any questions?" I will have to develop that filter eveyine else has.

I have not played any games. I did go to the football again. Blues lost again. We were a bit better though. There were more signs of life. Also B0oro were quite good.well organised and they have two good forwards in Bamford and Assombalonga.
Sigh.
At least I have a ticket to see us lose at Cardiff on Saturday.

Morning all,
Most books in Skyrim just form the rich tapestry of it, in reality you need to know which ones will up a skill point. An easy way is to move the cursor over any row of books you find. The titles and cost of the book will pop up, normally the cost is 1-20 gold pieces. If you scan one which comes up at 55 or 70 gold pieces when that's a skill book. Saves on having to open each one.
Normally skills books are found on their own and in a prominent place (e.g. table in a dungeon).
The mage/sword/archer build is spreading things quite thin. Ideally you need to focus on either magic, melee or archery as your main attack option and then choose a secondary. Otherwise you won't be able to invest the points early on and you'll be ok at most things but get marmaladed by trolls and the like.
By the way, trolls are meant to be tough, one of the great aspects to Skyrim is that in quests you might have levelled opponents but outside it you can easily run into things which will make short work of you. Trolls, bears and sabre tooths are such examples.
The dungeons can be repetitive, so why not have a wander round, mine some iron and transmute it to make jewellery. You can pick up a few smithing levels that way and make some coin. Plenty of the locals have more unusual tasks (e.g. get a mammoth tusk) and sometimes they'll reward you with a skill point.
anyway - early on it can be very unforgiving. Stick with it!

Hi! I downloaded Bloodborne but didn't play it as it was late. I definitely wasn't scared. re: Rime. Lovely game. One of the few games that has been able to drag my youngest away from Minecraft. We've played through once and are doing so again to try and find all the collectibles. Tonight I will download Ratchet and Clank. And maybe start Bloodborne. Maybe.

I had to Google how to get past the pig, does that count as having fun?

Do shenguin and sheep hang out at the football? Shenguin /sheep - do you guys hang out at the football? Shenguin hasn't been to the football for ages. Not since before the snow. So no. If he went to the football then yes in that case it would appear I do know about Shenguin.

Do shenguin and sheep hang out at the football? Shenguin/sheep - do you guys hang out at the football? There is no fucking way I'm hanging out with any fucker at Cardiff. Sheep or no Sheep, it's a Shenguin-free match. It's probably over 450 mile round trip for me. Recently I drove over 1000 miles in 8 days to see 3 matches (Milwall at St Andrews, Brentford at Griffin, Barnsley at St Andrews). We conceded 10 goals without scoring any.
