Been over at the PM's folks this afternoon. Didn't get back till after 4 so its been a bit of a frantic time getting a turkey Ragu together while the pm entertains the child. We did come home with a chunk of the excellent chocolate cake she made for the child's birthday.
Going to give battlefield bad company 2 a go tonight.
Giles Petersons show has been tremendous today.

Afternoon,
I went to the gym, then fell asleep. Middle age, great eh.
Filum night chez-Rich tonight. No idea what to watch. Last week's was Portrait of a Lady on Fire, which was fucking amazing. I've had a week of regretting not doing the MA in French Film at Nottingham. Well, right up until I got my new job, which no doubt pays a tad more than some useless la de da French film MA would get me in the Tory hellscape we're currently living through. Andy Street or whatever our Mayor's name is, on the local news bigging up how amazing for Birmingham it's going to be having a train to get to London a maximum of ten minutes more quickly than current services is going to be when we're all working from home / remotely for the rest of eternity. The ONLY reason this white elephant hasn't been shelved is brown envelopes exchanged to get it done. How long before it's revealed all the contracts were awarded to Boris' brother-in-law or cat or whatever.
Might as well open the white wine and drown my misery.

Morning all.
Had a top time on resident evil this afternoon. I’ve turned the difficulty off so it’s basically a walking simulator, but with giant ladies and occasionally blasting something with a shotgun. A thinking mans Gone Home.

I went to a pro-Palestinian protest today, inadvertently … I mean I am Pro-Palestine, broadly speaking, but the issue wasn’t on my mind when I went for a walk to buy some delicious Belgian beers from a semi-local supermarket.
There were lots of protesters, but I was able to pass through to get to the shop. Then I went to a pub afterwards. So I wasn’t really at the protest, even though I supported it.
Not much of a story.

I'm playing on normal and it's not too bad so far. Seems less forgiving than RE2 and RE3 remake. I may* even try hardcore run. The creepiness and scare jumps are sammink else. Scary dolls!! 😬 *I won't. |
