Good morning.
On the train.
Games. A run around in the Division 2. Realised I still needed to open up a couple of safe houses and their missions/shd tech. Did that, mooching about shooting bad people.
Running a snipers rifle at the moment. Boom, headshot. Shouldn't they really be one shot kills always? Anyway.

Morning all!
Yesterday was Big-Fun-Halfterm-Day. A visit to Blackberry Farm in the morning, where the boy played for hours. And then out at a real restaurant* for dinner, where the behaviour of all involved was exemplary.
Gamesblog: nope
TVblog: the Repair Shop, followed by the Sewing Bee, followed by Babylon 5.
Amigablog: setting up an SD card “hard drive” for my brother’s A1200. I’ve somehow made it simultaneously visible to the HDToolbox program and invisible to the Amiga Workbench. [shrug] No idea.
OTTM: COVID antigen test done this morning as part of a study by Imperial College.
*real chain restaurant, Pizza Express.

I'm on ME2, all the fish have died but the space hamster is doing ok. On that point we have interstellar space travel but the hamster setup is sub-par. Way too small and no bedding. I was expecting something a bit more advanced. Also, why do all night clubs look like 80s futuristic nightclubs? Perhaps the collectors are all about setting up a decent chain of bars and a Pets at Home franchaise. |

I feel awful. I was given a super-duper dose of aquavit last night. It's quite delicious, but at least one glass was way too big. I was so drunk I couldn't even get to the bedroom after brushing my teeth and had to take a detour into the living room where I fell face down on the sofa.
A bad business.

I have a bit of hangover.
Drunkbuddy's birthday yesterday.
PM arranged to pick him up on her way home at 5.30... No sign of him. This pisses her off.
Doesn't pick up phone or reply to texts. This pisses me off.
About 9.30 he shambles up.... apologizes for being a bit 'squiffy', and cracks open a 4-pack of Speckled Hen.
11.30 and we pack him into a taxi, with helium balloons tied under each armpit, and wearing a silver happy-birthday banner in the style of a Kamikaze pilot.
I assume he got home, although he has form for not being able to get the key in the door, so may have slept on his doorstep again.
