Thanks BabyF, I was wondering how to avoid work today. That’ll do nicely.

Morning. BDW here too. Not the best at the moment. Chunder into your facemask at the station?
We watched some thing the pm had on about internet in the 90s. Jeff had hair! Pre 5G Bill! All the lads.
Then some Justified. Then some The Div2. Just a run around and a small side mission.
Late to bed. Blergh.

Morning
Games? No Tv? Couple of episodes of This Time, which were enjoyable. Films? Finished off Mortal Kombat. Great fun, exactly what you’d expect. Needs more Raiden laughing though. Books? Started the Last Kingdom series, also bought the last book in the series. Now I just need books 6-12. Also discovered that there’s going to be a new Sharpe book out in September.

Morning, fellow denizens of the box.
Gamesblog: still working my way through the 2000+ games on the Amiga SD card. There are some absolute shockers on there, truly terrible games.
TVblog: some Nigella thing on Netflix. Then the Sewing Bee. Then the first ep of the fifth series of Babylon 5.
Amigablog: I have this program that documents all of the games on a partition. It then creates a CSV file of game filepaths. You can then use the front end to flag as favourite, ignore, as well as categorise the genre. Trouble is that if you delete a game, and then rerun the directory scan, it retains a row for that now-deleted game… which then completely bombs the machine if you accidentally “run” it from the front end. Good fun, rooting through a 2000+ row text file close to midnight…

Hi
I have a really bad hangover. An absolute stinker. Think it was too much sun yesterday and a hot sticky night. And maybe the lager, ale and red wine combo.
I blame Shenguin.
Kill me now.

Good fun, rooting through a 2000+ row text file close to midnight… I have never watched the Great British Sewing Bee. I don't think I ever will. To be honest ... the voice of the man, on the adverts. I think he's the presenter ... I don't like it. It makes me wish I could pull down shutters on the TV. Or just tune him out. Or send him into space ...

I feel a bit curmudgeonly today if I'm being honest. I can't say why. I don't know why. Perhaps it's because it's hot, muggy ...
We didn't watch any good television last night. I nearly began to play the Final Fantasy VII remake but I don't know if my heart was in it. I turned it off at the title screen.

Anyone noticed it getting darker? Apparently we are in a solar eclipse, but I can't tell as it's too cloudy. Does seem somewhat gloomy and the birdies are all quiet
portents....

I know it's so obvious it doesn't need stating, but Matt Hancock really is a prize cunt.

Aren't the scientists exceeding their remit here?
Hancock says scientists were wrong to advise ministers that public would not tolerate long lockdown Q: Why did we miss the big picture, and act earlier?
Hancock says the costs of lockdown would have started immediately. And the advice at the time was that people would only put up with lockdown for a limited period of time.
That was wrong, he says.
Now it seems obvious that people will put up with a long lockdown. But it was not obvious at the time, he says.
He says ordering a lockdown “against scientific advice” would have been an even bigger decision.
But when the advice changed, it was easier to change policy.
The government should make up their own mind as to what the public can tolerate, this seems like buck passing by Hancock.

Even more evidence has come out that the people who run Brewdog are a bunch of cunts.
