I'm sorry, I think it's the heat. Well, it's forgivable, if, like you say, the donkey is in heat.

Lazybones What music did you buy? I am interested to know so I can criticise. It was 'New Long Leg' by Dry Cleaning. I heard them on Spotify and liked them. Then it occured to me that they were just the kind of band you might see on Later with Jools Holland. I looked them up on YouTube and sure enough, there they were - on Jools Holland. I like them a lot though.

Hobby noun 1. an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure. "his hobbies are reading and gardening and donkey porn" I've played Donkey Porn a few times in the arcades, not my cup of tea.

I think Mrs Fark has loads of the lateral flow ones at home anyway as she is a teacher. She said we can't use it for kid 2 as it was not accurate enough, hence the trip to Chesterfield. You can order the PCR ones in the post. That's pretty much what I said. Am I Mrs Fark now? And neither of you have made me a cup of bloody tea today.

Each round of games is a matchday. So this one lasts until every team has played 2 games. You can make subs every day (within the matchday) before 2 pm. Once the first game kicks off the game is locked. D This is basic stuff. What is not to understand? Just wait until we get on to cricket fielding positions. That's when it gets complex. I havent indulged in a FF team for many many matchdays, maybe even a matchyear, if that is around about 5 normal years? Gammonball fielding positions are thankfully of no interest to me.

I bought a load of stuff at the weekend. I went to Nottingham for Record Store Day. I have not listened to any of it yet. I am the worst. There is too much football on.
What records did you buy?

What records did you buy? An eclectic mix suitable for a man in his late 40s clinging on to his fading memories. Prince Wolf Alice Garbage An SFA reissue Tears For Fears, Echo & The Bunnymen & Suede live LPs I've covered most of my bases. Including the inevitable ennui.

Honestly, when I was a lad you'd have been booted out of RPG club with extreme prejudice for mispronouncing Smaug or Sauron. The grand wizard would simply hand you a revolver and a tot of mithril and that would be that.

Smowg seems like a very black country way of saying it.
An ancient dialect.

He didn't make it up; it's from the Old German Smeugan, to squeeze through a tight space, sharing a root with Sméagol, you low philistine.

If you ask me ... The Dwarves might have pronounced it one way, and the proud men of Rohan another, and the fisher folk another way on top of this.
I bet someone in Middle Earth said Smawg.

There is this idea though, isn't there(?) that the Black Country dialect is the closest in the country to Old English.

I can't vouch for this website. I hope it hasn't got hidden racism.
