Has anyone read the article over 'there' on games fuelling the rise of the far right? Even Sonic is in the firing line for focusing on the 'restoration of natural harmony'.
I would have thought freeing animals from their robotic prisons would be considered pretty lefty, no?

I can clearly remember my 15 year old self playing the original Resident Evil for the first time and just feeling sooo impulsively in agreement with those ideologies

Morning all.
Articles like that really make it difficult to empathise with the left.
I tried playing a game last night. That game was Fallout 4. I say tried, because it couldn't seem to complete the installation of an update. I've now switched the PS4 off and will try the switching-it-back-on-in-the-hope-that-it'll-sort-itself-out route.

Hello, I’ve been skiing. Being in Courchevel it was both a representation of and further fuel to my ultra-capitalist, anti-environmental, Russian authoritarian aligned, consumerist worldview. Five stars, would politicise again. There was an air show on one day with a Mitsubishi zero and a Tomcat our for a spin. I assume they were both replicas as the wings didn’t fall off when they looped. Bringing these out for mere entertainment is a microcosm of the reemergence of isolationist pro-conflict strategies in the world today, isn’t it, hmmm?

That article is an opinion piece, yet not clearly labelled as such and yet another example of how poor The Guardian has been recently in how it manages its content.
If presented as ‘this was my coursework for my degree’ then I’d happily argue with the guy.
But it’s presented as a news item in the gaming/technology section. There’s no news here, purely conjecture.
Much like my Johnson.

I picked up COD Infinite Warfare/MW Remastered for £20 and set about playing the MW campaign. It plays very well and looks very impressive. It's noticable how tricky it is to get the rifles to aim properly and it's a bit of a challenge at first, unlike a lot of new FPS where it basically aims for you.
Not so much looking forward to the multiplayer and finding out what my mum's been up to recently.
