Good morning,
Bit of Apex last night. Why am I good for one game and then absolutely terribly for every other one I play? Old eyes and large carnie hands I suppose.

I nearly sank a small motor boat in Greece when the wind got up in the afternoon. It felt like it was about to sink. It wasn't bad, though. It was extremely thrilling.

I once drunkenly got in a fight with a navy type on the Torpoint ferry. We were both too pissed to throw punches, so kind of grappled and rolled around the deck for a while to the merriment of our fellows.

I've just peeled a flat bloody magpie off the front drive and chucked it in the wheelie bin (black, obvs). It wasn't pleasant.
I see those banana straightening commies on the continent have it in for us and aren't showing any euro footy again today. Gits.

I used to go to school with someone who later went on to appear in the news for implication / association with a (supposed) bomb plot in Yemen. A bad business. He was a good guy, though, for a long time at school. I used to meet up with him for lunch when we were both doing work experience in Birmingham City Centre. On a personal basis I've got nothing bad to say about him. Anyway, I think the first intimations of his later (supposed) activity would / could be seen on a ferry, when we went to the Isle of Arran for a geography field trip. He began mugging people on board. Mugging people on a ferry. What a thing ...
Edit: I might delete this. A bit distasteful. I don't have the full facts. I don't know the full extent of my friend's involvement or otherwise in the plot. It was a long time ago. I only know what the papers said.
It's a bad business whatever way you look at it.

I'm going to go ahead and make a joke implying this was some sort of sexual encounter. I hope the fisherman paid at least the going rate. OTTM: If anyone has picked any Swiss players for their Fantasy Team, you might want to think again; they all have the injury flag symbol thing next to them. Must be something going round the squad. |

A fisherman's pocket is simple.
You buy a pint of beer, a double whiskey (or spirit of your choice) and one packet of scampi fries. You then drink the pint whilst eating said fries. Once this is over you pour the whiskey into the empty packet and then drink it down. Et voilà you've had a fisherman's pocket.
A pointless and revolting exercise.

Went night fishing in a boat out of Brighton marina many years ago. Winter time, sea got choppy out over the wrecks, started to snow, smell of the diesel engines making everyone nauseous. Got so cold one of us got frost bite in the toes. Didn't lose the toe but never got any feeling back in it. Huddled under a smelly old tarpaulin for warmth. Can't remember if we caught any thing.
