Morning.
I played no games last night. I’m a broken shell of a person.

Morning you lot.
I played a game last night! More Far Harbour in Fallout 4, though I did return to the Commonwealth at one point to get rid of some crap.
I've joined the Children of Atom, the radiation-worshipping nut-jobs.

Hello. Games. Bit of GTA. Spent a stupid amount of money on a garage for my office so lots of double cash racing to claw back some money.
I'd be up for some fortnite 4 player thing. Though I'd no doubt be terrible.
Baby are you enjoying your center parcs experience now your hearing has returned?
Guy from the train paid for my coffee today as the coffee shop card machine wasn't working. Milk of human kindness etc.

Morning!
Bit of a shit weekend in our household. We were told on Saturday that Basil, one of our Degus, had a tumour. We decided to opt for surgery as at least there was a chance he would pull through that way. This led to a very unsettled weekend and a horrible Monday morning, dropping him off to be operated on. Thankfully we had the best outcome possible. Surgery a complete success and found that it wasn't a tumour after all. Apparently the cause of it has never been seen before (at least, it hasn't been recorded before). Little Basil doesn't do illness by half it seems. He's now at home recovering well, albeit a testicle lighter, poor little guy.
Anyway, on to things that matter. No games were played, due to the above. Until last night, that is, where I had a little try of Fortnite. I managed a 73rd and a 7th. Zero kills. I can see why a lot of people enjoy it, but it's not for me.
TV wise, started Jessica Jones series 2, which is ok so far, and watched the latest Walking Dead. Standard episode from the latter, shambling along like it's title 'characters'.

Something clicked on Monster Hunter last night. Went on a couple of expeditions with some strangers and managed to farm some materials that went some way to helping me progress.
I know they were only 2* missions but it was a good couple of hours of fun, upgrading my armour, and then realising I’d run out of credits -so a second expedition to try and grind some cash!
Also, I’m having a bit of trouble with the auto crafting technique - should I be doing this, or leave it to manual?

Auto crafting is good for things like potions and ammo (if you use a weapon that uses ammo). Especially on longer hunts. Being able to restock potions without having to go through the menus can be a life saver. Basically, I thought the rule of thumb was, if it only has one use (like herbs -> potions) have it on auto. If it has multi uses (like honey) then collect and manually craft.

Morning!
Subnautica - I apparently have got a bacterial infection, possibly from not checking how long I had been keeping food in my stash before eating. If this game is teaching me anything it is good food hygiene and not to stockpile stuff when you don't have any means to keep it fresh. A spaceship answered my distress call, and at the point of rescue was obliterated by a tower block that transformer-ised into the biggest bleedin gun I've seen in a game for a long while. I appear to be alone again, apart from my infection, which has yet to show any physical effects. I have started building an undersea home, however as I only have the blueprints for one type of room I am limited. Also as it's solar powered it gets dark and everything stops working each sunset. I have a dinky sub, and a radiation suit that I keep forgetting to wear. The things that make the big scary noises are not the ones to be afraid of.... This game is growing on me... in more ways than one 4*s

At least, that's how it worked for me (I may have missed settings somewhere). I had to get into the habit of emptying my sack every time I went back to town as I collected pretty much everything that I saw. Also, use the load out manager. I was doing everything manually until I accidentally found it (I think it's the option/ start button when in the box). Big time saver. Especially if you use different load outs for different missions (capture vs. kill vs. arena etc.).

I'm still waiting for the whole population of Skyrim to come down with a bad case of food poisoning. I mean, cheese in ancient tombs??! Yuck!

Vintage cheese is a thing. Some cheeses age well for years. If you pasteurised it and kept it in the right cool, mostly dry conditions I'm sure you could store some cheeses indefinitely.

I like the mechanic of food degrading over time, causing different levels of health/harm as it goes through the fresh/manky/rotten/putrid cycle.... problem is you only see these effects when it's in your inventory. If you discard a rotten item, it looks the same a fresh one, until you pick it up again and examine it. Couple of times I've seen a tasty morsel outside my front door and scarfed it down, only to see my health drop instead of rise.... and remember why i'd thrown it out in the first place.
I do have the plans for a bio-reactor which should let me go all eco-friendly and produce power from the rotten stuff.... but I don't have the plans for a room big enough to build it.
