Morning all! I've regained some of my gaming vim, thanks to a dabble in both Wildermyth (see G review - top banana) and sorties in Monster Hunter Stories 2 (also TB). They've done a good job of recreating the main loop of monster hunter - fight them, sculpt weapons from their cold dead remains, use said weapons to smash them to pieces with greater vimto. Except this time you can also enslave them and get them to do your dirty work. It doesn't really make sense if you think about it too much. Indigenous peoples at odds with the monster hunters, forming close bonds with the monsters to smash the shit out of other monsters. Coincidentally I did drink some pretty foul beer last night, and slept late this morning, and am now on top of the world again. Bananas for all! Got in on the ground floor with Zelda too. Thought of a name for your Link yet?

ChumblesI have a question. Is Nursey one person? One person - consistent in space and time? Or is Nursey a concept? Can anyone embody the concept?
Nursey is a hydra; a many headed monster; each treatment session a different one appears and subjects me to medicine from the medieval period. Bloody painful ... I'm just between the morphine haze and my stripped and scrubbed nerves realizing that it's not just painful but agonizing. The hydra's name is derived from...

amipal , two parties? Show off/Needy/popular* fucker. *Delete where applicable I too thought the Amipal's party had already happened. To reiterate: Covid-number-restrictions, init. Hence the separate family and then friends parties. And even then, we’ve had to be selective for who we invite. Bare in mind it’s for both me and my brother.

The WSWS are not onboard: ”The establishment of the command underlines how swiftly and comprehensively the ruling class is pushing for the return of German militarism.” Germany keeping up with the rest of NATO by establishing the relevant command structures. But what’s more concerning is the general dilapidation of the German armed forces as a whole. Much is said about old equipment in British service, but it’s nothing compared to the state of the Bundeswehr, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe. At least the British Army can train with live ammunition, the RAF can fly multiple missions around the globe, and the Royal Navy is still one of very few blue water navies.

Got in on the ground floor with Zelda too. Thought of a name for your Link yet? I know there are some immature people out there. But I'm not one of them. I follow the time honoured tradition of naming my Link "Bator". Fi: "Master ..."

I always named my Link 'David'.
He just always seemed like a David to me.

Morning all! Yesterday was very busy. Not work-wise - party-prep-wise. I cut my hair, mowed the lawn, and power-washed the patio. I was also required to make a last-minute dash to the Co-op to get ingredients for the birthday cake my partner is making me for the friends-party tomorrow. Such was my thirst, I also came back with many bottles of PGL. An ice-cold Peroni Nastro Azzurro hit the spot. In the evening, one of my longest-serving mates popped over to give me my present (rum) and card. He can’t make it to the party, so really good to catch-up with him. He’s a good man, and thorough. TVblog: Community. Don't let the nice guy act fool you. This was how Rome ended.

Hold up hold up hold up.
Is the new Indiana Jones film going to be set in the mid 1960s?
Will Indy find himself shuffled along in a crowd at some point and find himself in Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable?
They can't go out on a stinker.

Maybe Indy's next big adventure will be ... into his own mind.

I'm getting Birthday fatigue. Guys!! Stop having birthdays!! Instead of spreading birthdays evenly and sensibly over the course of a year, 'boxers tend to cluster.

I ate a vegetarian sausage sandwich for lunch.
The vegetarian sausages only had about a 55 percent resemblance to genuine sausages. They were a kind of green / grey and had flecks of carrot in. The sandwich as a whole was alright. It was mainly just an excuse to eat HP brown sauce ...

I'm fairly sure I know what will happen in the new Indiana Jones film now. My guess is that Indy is going to take a one-way trip, courtesy of the CIA's MK-ULTRA programme, back in space and time to foil a Nazi plan to achieve Lebensraum on the moon, using V2 rockets.
I'd put money on it.

amipalWhat rum is it? Will you mix it with two parts water? It is called The Real McCoy. I’ve never had it before, but expect I’ll serve it in the same way I have all my rum: with three clinks of ice cubes.

I had a “Tuffers Special” for lunch: a corned beef sandwich.
It was delicious, even if I did bite my lip while eating it.
