It's Glasgow Fair Saturday. Traditionally the heavy industry etc would close and families would go on holiday or at least away for the day. As it's a sunny day Ayr and the other beaches will be jumping. The trains will be mayhem.
We're all off to a country park/wood. Coz fuck going to the beach today.
No TV, No games, no booze.

Just woke up. About the only time I will ever be woke. I guess amipal and bramipal are already hitting the bottles. I guess he's not going to the beach. And neither would I. See yesterday's post. I shall not be watching St Helens v Castleford Tigers. Rugby League = Rugby Union with the interesting bits removed. Apparently Rugby Union is a thugs' game played by gentlemen; I wouldn't know - I stopped playing it after I got my bollocks grabbed by the opposition prop and decked him (and not with boughs of holly, either). I was sent off for 'ungentlemanly conduct' which was a bit rough as I'd told the ref AND warned the prop that I would lay him out if he did it again. So I played Badminton - it was a bloody sight warmer! |

I only played Rugby Union for the school because I was the fastest runner also I was the worst tackler so naturally they put me as full back.

Hi!
It's already 26° and forecast to hit 30° this afternoon.
I'm under the parasol eating crumpets (not a euphemism) to try and stay cool. I've also moved all our fruit and veg that usually sits in the pantry into a cooler box with some of this blue ice blocks.
It's almost too hot to drink beer. I think it'll be water until tonight.
I've already un-rolled our secret anti-heat device ready to go. My MASSIVE LONG hose pipe.
OTTM, none.

Good morning, troopers and bloopers all.
Went drinking with drunkbuddy last night. Might have hit it a bit hard. Went fora slash at about 3am and found him trapped sideways in my bath, full clothed and giggling like a loon, stuck like a tortoise on its back.
Today might involve lots of sitting in the shade with a cool drink. It’s a bit bright out there.

Afternoon
I watched The Tomorrow War on Prime.
It's quite enjoyably rubbish.
The best thing is Vern from Oz as the grandpa. It's good to see him out of prison. However it is entirely unsurprising the family is dysfunctional. Also I was surprised he was prepared to fight white aliens.
Also all seven seasons of The Shield are in Prime. If you haven't seen it watch it. It is ace.
