Hello all.
My desktop A1200 is still set up in the dining room. This gave me ample time yesterday evening for one heck of a play-session!
HeroQuest II: Legacy of Sorasil - tricky reimagining of the classic boardgame. TRAPS EVERYWHERE.
Super Stardust - not much needs to be said about this, a superb asteroids-clone from Bloodhouse. I did not make it to a tunnel section...
Scramble Spirits - average shoot'em-up, with reasonably nice graphics.
P.P Hammer and his Pneumatic Weapon - nice, characterful platformer/puzzler.
Wonderboy in Monsterland - I didn't spend enough time with this to truly work out how to progress. An early and clunky game.
All New World of Lemmings - the original Lemmings proves that less is more. This version features more colours and bigger lemmings, neither of which are needed.
Trex Warrior - fun 3D arena-based shoot'em-up.
Welltris - imagine Tetris but the blocks can fall from four sides.
Lionheart - stunningly beautiful platformer, a real show-piece of Amiga game capabilities.
Locomotion - a clever train routing puzzle game.

Games, going deep on Total Warhammer 2 and the new DLC. Rampaging across the map as a massive Minotaur guy. Beastmen? How do they play? Need to get back into my Lizard game. I was trying to work out where I could expand. They’ve changed recently, with new DLC. Basically, monsters and heavy hitters, get right in there and morale/leadership takes a lot of damage. Horde mechanics, so no settlements, which used to lead to a lot of whack-a-mole as settlements would get taken over behind you. Now you can put a herdstone in a settlement, raze the others, perform a ritual and then the other settlements can’t be taken over until the herdstone is destroyed.

Rich and compelling chat, I’m sure you’ll agree.

Marduk would be a tricky winger. Liable to skin the opposition. He's playing for the Babylonian team, not the Assyrian one. Marduk is an intellectual. His tactic is driving the four winds into the defending player, then let them explode. Very effective, even if it creates a bit of a mess on the pitch. He does that by sending a dodgy takeaway to the opposing team the night before the match. You might remember Gary Lineker falling for this trick in the 1990 World Cup.

Wonderboy in Monsterland was one of my all time favourites on the Master System.

The cover art makes it clear that Wonder Boy is the baddie, enjoying his work far too much.

He picked up bad habits while on loan to Assyria.

In pub after going to Sainsbury's and M&S large majority masked up, either people are being sensible or a whole load of people went out robbing on the same day, the split will be bad.
Pub mainly empty as usual.

The Proboards tech is too advanced to let me post a picture, so I've done a profile pic. Basically Wonderboy is Joffrey Lannister with Pat Butchers hair.
Leftover Indian foods for lunch today

Nursey has gone - she reckons I am infected, hence the agony, blood etc. Clothes off, fan on, morph, short rest, carpet washer, laundry, unconsciousness. Hopefully in that order

If the steam deck is a switch for nerds then what is tenthen and the rest of the switch gaggle (self included)?
Although it really does look like a switch for nerds. Incongruously massive, weighty, pitiful battery life, pointless gizmos attached (why does it have 9 touch pads??), but technically superior and runs Linux. It’s a nerds wet dream. Spend 5 hours at the Linux terminal coalface to run Mario Odyssey in an emulator poorly on an oversized switch modelled after a brick.

Depends what position you want them to play. Jesus for goalie, but Vishnu up front, and Buddha's not bad on the left wing, but you wouldn't want him in central defence. I wouldn't say Buddha's a god. Mr Gautama. Buddha isn't a God he's a Deity, which means you can't blame him for you ills in life or when it chucks it down with rain and you get soaked. basically he makes you a better person by guiding your soul. You can blame Gaia for the crops and land, you can blame Zeus for the weather and the christian god for all your social woes.
