After probably a year or so of waiting Cyrano has finally decided to move out. I'd thought the day would never come.
I almost want him to stay now.

I just had an interesting Twitter exchange.
Rachel Riley, who is hated by some people for her pointing out anti semitism*, specifically when JC our saviour was involved, has written a maths book for "grown-ups"
I paraphrase:
"Show me, RR, your maths and teaching qualifications" <edit>This is directed at Rachel Riley, the following is just between us.
I mentioned the maths degree from Oxford
"What about the teaching qualification's?"
I didn't respond
"Wikipedia doesn't show this"
I quote from Wikipedia that she has a maths degree from Oxford
"What type of degree, can you edit Wikipedia to show that?"
I responded that they can find that out themselves and they should have fun.
Reader, I was blocked.
This is why I come back here, regardless of people's** opinions here none of them are that dumb.
*this can be disputed as a Zionist plot. **not you

I'm waiting for a Fortnite update. Genuine question: why does it download and then copy the file? The copying takes almost as long as the download. And I'm always, like, "WHY DIDNT YOU SAVE THE FUCKING FILE IN THE RIGHT FUCKING PLACE IN THE FIRST FUCKING PLACE?". I mean, I realise I'm an entitled dick with insufficient anger control, and basically no understanding of the almost unimaginable complexity of PS4 processes. But why does it do that?
Edit: I just realised why. It's because I touch myself at night. Gah.

Stay strong Chumbles . You're a braver man than me. I'm not; really I'm not. You either give up and die, or you grit your teeth and deal with it. I elide* the worst of the charming little dispiriting indignities as we all do. My advice is deal with what you can, don't feel sorry for yourself, enjoy what you can, and don't give yourself permission to not do stuff, or despair. Despair is pointless and dangerous; and it isn't the same as being desperate! Do a little exercise frequently, even if you're in pain, weak etc Your body becomes very quickly moribund; an indication of this ia the mucus and crud that builds up in your lungs if you lie down for long periods. That is enough of that! Rejoice - I have taken my first of 28 Clarithromycin 😁. *There you go Tids, the alternative use of the verb...

The "" is the person I'm talking to, the "I" is me. But the OP's question was directed at RR? Yes, the first quote is to her the following are to me, probably could have made that clearer but I was just replaying the conversation in my head.

Speaking of PM's, and in other news, I see that BoJo, the so-called optimistic, fun-loving, freedom-seeking libertarian is proposing introducing hi-vis chain gangs for minor offenders.

Felice Landry I've had very similar experiences on Twatter more than once. People are pretending to be obtuse (not that it doesn't come to them naturally) when they realise you can back up your argument with evidence and block you when they sense that they 'lost'. There's a particular Mesopotamian literary genre called adamanduga, Sumerian for 'dialogue'. These are dispute poems where you have two parties argue about which one has more virtue. Examples are Summer vs. Winter, Date Palm vs. Tamerisk, Copper vs. Silver, Bird vs. Fish, or Grain vs. Sheep2. At the end one of the gods (usually Enlil) decides who's made the better argument. It's quite likely that these poems were performed in a theatrical setting. I suppose nowadays Enlil would crown the winner by getting them blocked.
