Games: I'm on the verge of winning a game of Diplomacy having only built one fleet! And I am in the weirdest Neptune's Pride game where 5 players have dropped out after 2 days! I'm yellow surrounded by AI's - and they are playing a lot better than the players they replaced. Not going to be an easy win... Today: Having been crucified yesterday and tomorrow I have a one-time cleaner, I have a ton of chores to do today

Morning!
Got a good sleep last night which has helped me immensely.
No games, new episode of Ted Lasso, one beer.
Off out to a park on some forestry commission land in the east end after lunch.
Lunch is broccoli soup which is a request from the child who loves it. As much as I like broccoli I hate it in soup form so will be having houmous on sourdough.

That Diplomacy game I mentioned; it's a Fog of War game and it's Spring 1917. The three lightning bolts point to supply centres that I don't own, which will add to my 16. You can see just a single fleet. England and France have had an alliance which France broke 6 seasons ago, whereupon England promptly about turns and launches everything at France, vacating Scandinavia in front of me! And this was the position in Spring 1907, and by this time I had lost, at different times having been stabbed by Russia (Bud), Germany (Vie) and most recently by Italy. So when the draw was proposed I nearly put my white flag up. Everybody else except England had their flags up. It seemed very probable that England was dominating the Low Countries, Scandinavia, Brest and probably Denmark as well = 10, whilst the rest of us were entangled and mutually hostile. You can see that Italy was in no position to help France... But this game was set up as a PPSC game, which means the winner gets half the points and the other half is split amongst the survivors. In a WTA game the winner gets the lot! Now no-one had been eliminated by '07, so I thought that Turkey, France and possibly Germany could by eliminated by the time England won so increasing my share of the survivors' pot... I played on, but with Italian pressure on Trieste, I couldn't build another Fleet...

Hello all!
Despite yesterday’s party, and didn’t sleep well at all. Thought I’d be all-tuckered-out. Maybe I was too tired, like the boy? Fighting the sleep?
TVblog: New Girl, and then The Good Place. The latter is getting better.
Todayblog: been for a walk up the Tye, and now helping the boy with his birthday Lego.
YouTubeblog: I’m on someone else’s channel!

I notice the snack bowl is placed as far away from amipal as possible. I deduce from this that he has a reputation as a scoffer.

Morning, Gameschat: BOTW. Found a nice spot to harvest easy rupees.
TV: finished Bosch. This final series was a bit underwhelming.

Up to book 5 of the Expanse stuff, getting rather predictable and a touch samey. 4*

Not even a minute and a half into the video and Amipal grabs the opportunity to advertise his sweet content, just before the casual viewer decides to drop out. Top content creator move, he'll go far.

We're at a park on some forestry commission land. Cuningar Loop.
Lots of wooden climbing stuff, bouldering rocks, kids playpark.
There's some guy who uses it to exercise. Fair enough I suppose. Mirrored aviators on, soft rock playing from a Bluetooth speaker. Stretching, skipping, stopping kids getting on stuff. Perhaps not so fair enough.

Stayed up til 4am (again) watching Olympics. That BMX trick was INSANE!
Today's Athletics has been amazing, the high jump and the triple jump in particular, RADICAL!
Hope you're all well.
No games.

The chap it is next to us a notorious KFC visitor. After I watched the video, I did actually say to them that I should lay off the crisps next time. I just keep going back for more…

Hello. Sorry I've been persistently lurking rather than posting. My excuse is that I had a weird Twitter exchange yesterday morning with an extraordinarily belligerent individual, one of those Monty Python Black Knights who will always post one more tweet than you to bite your legs off after you've beaten them to a pulp in the argument. In the course of the exchange I learnt that I'm uneducated, okay with discrimination and segregation, and generally thick as sh*t. Out of curiosity I checked on their Twitter profile later in the evening and found that they'd spent the whole day insulting and losing arguments with dozens of people whilst claiming that they didn't have time for any of this because they've got better things to do on a Saturday. I just had quick look, and (somewhat unsurprisingly) they are still going strong today. I also followed the story of Piers Corbyn getting pranked by two YouTubers and very much enjoyed the ensuing Monopoly memes. metro.co.uk/2021/08/01/piers-corbyn-tricked-into-taking-monopoly-money-astra-zeneca-bribe-15019838/And then there was the video of the real SpongeBob and Patrick. You've got to add your own pineapple, pet snail, and disgruntled squid.
And I was like (and let's keep quiet about how Patrick was most likely trying to eat SpongeBob)

Felice Have you rad four Expanse novels really quickly?
Do yourself a favour and don't read the next one for a few weeks. You'll enjoy it more if you aren't overdosing on them.
I don't think any series can survive that sort of reading in good condition.
