And one for amipal - who will probably want to take his camera to it and tenthenemy, who's probably been there. It's 19th-century bridge, known as Rakotzbrücke - Devil's Bridge, Kromlau, Germany. A lot of imgur captions liken it to something out of Lord of the Rings, but for me it's redolent of Thomas Covenant (see below for why) |

Another rough night... I came across this gallery with commentary "My time in Afghanistan" - posted on imgur by a GI out there for a couple of years. Fascinating
